    Things like Blade Runner and Space 2001 weren't made for teenagers though sp perhaps the question should be, Where are the all good films for the more mature audience? Does Hollywood consider this audience to be an unprofitable dead zone?

    Firefly is only 13 episodes and the dvd set can be had really cheap so it's not at all difficult to check it out. Is project A-Ko really that good as to be mentioned alongside Gunbuster?

    Hi guys, Sorry for butting in but I also know nothing about moding ps2's etc but I want to play SRW:A3 with the minimum of fuss. My PS2 is UK spec and I've had it since around the time Metal Gear 2 came out, it's never been opened up or anything. Will that Flip top and Swap Magic do the job or is SRW:A3 too new? Thanks in advance for helping

    What about "A Scanner Darkly", it's based on Phillip K Dicks book of the same name & Blade Runner/Total Recall were both great sci-fi flicks that had been based on his work.

    Sorry to butt in with an OT post but is this "swap magic" one of those discs that will let ypu play import games without needing to mod the console? I'm looking for something that will let me play SRW Alpha 3.

    Tam says he still has a few left over so I guess that everyone who pre-ordered will get one ok.     There was a pic somewhere of a Godannar test shot in a case full of Revoltech figures. I'll have to post it later as I'm at work and don't have time to look for it. On the topic of real vs Super robots, I consider anything owned/operated by any kind of military command structure to be real robots whilst super robots are owned (quite often built by) individuals. Think of it like International Rescue compared to the emergency services, pretty easy to spot which is the "super" of the two. Edit, found the Godannar piccy.

    I was in contact with Tam lastnight and he said that the Garlands wont show up from Yamato till sometime next week and to just be patient, when he gets his stuff he'll get them and it'll be all worth it 406919[/snapback] Grah... need....garland...now.....

    Well Turn A's score was by Yoko Kanno so it has an unfair advantage. But Seed has had good music since it started and I hope the movie will be just as good.

    The news is a little skewed, there will be two seperate compliation movies shown back to back in the theatre, both are 90 mins and Top 1 will have no new animation but rather a completely new dub performed by the original cast.

    There are no "maps" as such the playing area is an entrire planet and you can zoom out/in and around the whole planet at your own free will. The sea going units that were shown in the video should put your fears to rest.

    I've been watching this ones progress for a while now so yes I'm stoked. I may even buy a new machine just before it comes out to make sure I don;t run into any hardware issues.

    So Nono's warp wasn't actually instant at all and we were all confused for nothing. I need more SOC pics damnit!

    I'm going to have to watch Top 1 again but I reckon you're right that Warp is instant & FTL causes the time dilation. I can't remember now if they just called FTL "warp" as slang or something, i.e. they were only usiong FTL travel but referred to it as warp in order to get the message across to the crew.

    I've seen this before (think it was posted in the garland thread) & while it is awesome I'm glad Yamato made their version affordable because Max Factorys sure as hell isn't going to be.

    Man, this show is crazy complicated. I can't belive you guys can remember all this stuff. Vermillion21, I can't see the link either but there is a dvd release of Top 1 that came out in the UK. It's a direct to dvd transfer of the old vhs tapes and lacks science lessions 5/6 & the three short OVA's that accompanied GB: Renewal. If you can get it cheap (I paid abouta fiver) then it's worth it as the subs are decent and it has a pretty indepth review as an extra feature. btw, Could someone with some time to spare maybe draft up a list of all the known buster machines? There seems to be dozens of them now... p.s. I forgot to metion it but in teh anime on dvd.com fourms I saw a thread with the news that will be a compliation movie combining both Top 1 & 2!

    Just before the fade to black at 28:00. After Nono leaves and screens Lark off with the buster corp. I tried to take a screeny, but no luck. 405690[/snapback] What exactly are you trying to get across? There's an echo and the swarm around some kind of ruin. Nono running off at the last minute is certainly an odd twist but then she probably knows a fair few things they don't. The preview asks "do you know what she (etc) found in the meteor shower" I don't think she's implying the Gunbuster as that was built but I don't recall Noriko finding anything in a meteor shower. It's been ages since I've watched it, I'm suddenely very glad I downloaded it again to celebrate the SOC. If there isn't a new Gunbuster for the finale then it's going to be a rel let down.

    I wonder if the mini diecast G1 Convoy would fit (at least in bike mode), I think the red on blue on red would look especially fetching.

    Surely it should have been the Quess colours Doga and the Jegan if it were a really, really cunning stratergy. btw, If any of you use Amenbo then get your ass over there now as they totally fumbled the price on the Zaku and tracked pals set. It is listed at only 1440yen, there's no guarante that they won;t change it and charge the proper price but it was worth a try since I was gonna order it regardless.
