I did. I like that he has a lot of the boldness and agressiveness of Kirk while at the same time of the refined ability and cunning as the first Federation Offcier in space to be able to come through with a diplomatic solution, but maintaining his ability to agressviley defend his vessel. I also like the time period of Enterpirse and that they are just taking the first steps beyond our solar system, Archer seemed to just have the right amount of diplomacy and agressiveness to make those first steps in his specific situation work. To make him the captain of the E-D wouldn't have worked it's a different time period (except for maybe the Dominion war) but Picard would have IMO gotten waxed real quick if he had been the skipper of the NX-01. Kirk- was agressive which I liked but he was also a bit impetuous, negotiation wasn't really an option for him (then again during his time the Federation was surrounded by enemies) I'll also add the the whole 60's thing didn't really appeal to a kid whose parents wern't even married yet when TMP came out. Picard- was too sensative and too much of a diplomat for my taste, he never wanted to fight it out no matter how grim the situation seemed (then again this may have had quite a bit to do with the political situation of the time), Riker would have been more of my chioice to skipper the Big E. I'll admit here I probably didn't start watching until after the 3rd season, but I think I've seen all the reruns by now. Sisko- I don't really know that much, I only watched a few episodes of DS9 before I got bored and I've caught episodes on spike on occasion, but I've really considered trying to see the whole run becuase I hear the Dominion war was very well done Janeway- Only saw one episode of Voyager (the pilot I believe) so I don't really have and opinion one way or the other Before someone points out a situation in which the skipper of the ship went against the character traits I've described, please realize these are generalities as to the way they usually act IMO, meaning that a character can go against its typical reaction to a situation.

You know what I always wondered in ANH, everybody keeps telling each other to eject.....what good does that do? If you eject (wouldn't have minded seeing this) one of four things would happen all bad: 1) Some TIE ace zaps your butt while you're floating in space 2) The Deathstar survives and you get captured and tortured in public most likely 3) The Deathstars gravity well drags you down to the surface and you make a big splat 4) The Deathstar blows and you get caught in the explosion None of these are exactlt good outcomes

Got hold of the Visula dictionary and the Incredible Crosssections books today; anybvody else seen them? I really like the new direction of the Clone troopers and the new Star Destroyer (can't rember the name already) what do ya'll think about them? Goodpoint about the last name. Maybe it isn't as common as Smith, but still fairly common, or maybe Tatooine is so back water that even with the liscence it doesn't really show up. It does make me wonder if the reason Owen Lars doesn't want Luke to send in his application is to protect him from Vader, maybe until that point Lars is able to keep Luke's last name and presence hidden with Obiwan's help.

I can't afford the new books yet, anybody know where I can find some scans of the books? Epecially the Incredible Crossections and the Clone Trooper pages in the Visual dictionary? I'd like to see them.

Said the same thing on SSM and it was suggested that he meant the Rudder pedal, but in space when you hit the rudder it would cause thrusters to fire to effect yaw.

They have been genetically modified, maybe thsi has something to do with their lack of labido, besides nobody but Han ever seemed very interested in getting a piece of ass in Star Wars, and Jango seemed so disinterested that instead of finding a woman and getting some lovin' he had a clone created of himself.

I want to see how they get those birds to the flight deck, it doesn't look like there is enough room to move any of them around on the hanger deck.

It was shot at Miramar. I liked it (well not the first season), there were F/A-18s every week. JAG doesn't show much of anything operational anymore, but if you watch the reruns of the first and second season on USA they're much better episodes, lots of flying and lots of action, very little to no courtroom.

Has anybody played Brothers in Arms? What did you think? If you played Full Spectrum warrior did you like it better?

Quick Question: Are the Raptors supposed to have bigger crews? I keep seeing the copilot seat, but the NFO never uses it, so it makes me think the crew should be bigger at least 3 possibly 4, anyone know?

That's great news, I was shocked at how depressed I felt after not being able to access the forums last night.

Actually I don't see what's wrong with something like a PC box, it's a nice uniform shape that's easy to put almost anywhere, and you can turn it on it's side still. Won't happen becuase it's not flashy enough, but what the heck, it owuld work out real nice.

Two things are interesing to me: 1) Greviuos seems to be a prptotype Vader, in that he had to be put into that mechanical body 2) The Republic Commando seems to act like Army Special Forces

I love the use of the X-Wing pilot style helmet, the flightsuit that looks like an AT-AT crewman's gear and the bottom half of the helmet and flight gear that looks like it comes from a TIE pilot, really nice IMO.
