I agree with Hurin, I think there's more than one shape changing whatever-the-hell-those-things-are on the island. When not-Locke runs into the Sun and she blames him for her inability to speak English he seems confused by her accusation. It doesn't track with what we know of not-locke to try and hide that from her when it was just the two of them talking and he has no reason to lie about it.

Yeah, but I'm saying in the context of an empty ship with nearly zero power versus a crewed ship with enough juice to run defenses. The Blues obviously have no qualms about firing on Destiny or cutting her open. So what Rush tells them just doesn't make sense. If the Blues can board Destiny when she's powered up and has shields and guns then they should have had no problems disabling and boarding a limping Destiny. If Destiny were fighting off the Blues with some sort of automated systems, then when humans entered they would have seen some evidence of the fight or intrusion. But they didn't see anything or any evidence of a fight or struggle.

Yeah, I thought of that but it doesn't really make sense to me. The blue aliens are obviously advanced and they want Destiny. So if they could get one ship to dock with Destiny, why didn't they just take it over? They certainly had enough ships to overpower Destiny and had no problems tracking her.

well, we already know something was going on because of the ship that undocks and flies off the Destiny at the end of first episode.

Actually the idea that there was something rotten underneath the shiny veneer of the Federation was always there from ToS onwards. So, back on topic. I think faith scientist dude is one of the aliens that built the solar system

true but at least in Star Trek they're just aliens and Jackson doesn't stand there and talk about how they're just like "X" culture back on earth, complete with the "aliens" in stereotyped tribal costume. And if you notice... western gods - good guys. Non western gods - evil despotic warlords.

I think much more interesting than the gradual loss of humor in SG-1 is how very patronizing and ethnocentric those early episodes were. All about how backwards "alien" cultures were... alien cultures that all, by coincidence, were based on real world non western cultures.

yeah, the roy figure is a bigger draw for me than black arrows on the head or the slightly more white plastic.

Gil farming in the next chapter is much more consistent than in Pulse. There's quite a few monsters that drop incentive chips, perfume and other money rich stuff. But if you're looking for Gil, make sure you finish vanile's sidequest in pulse and do the chocobo treasure hunt. And don't forget the cieth mission 7 exploit for both Gil and upgrade components.

don't worry, you have one more chance for grinding later on. But if it's just for CP the grinding in the next chapter is better.

Didn't have a problem with the 2nd form either. Got 5 stars for every mode. Went with light and hope in medic mode and healed up in a round after getting hit by the cheap shot, switched to "bully" with light in commando and hope and fang doing buffs and sabotage, then poured it on with light and hope in ravager mode and fang doing commando. Got them to stagger twice and killed it during the second stagger. tip: switch to sabotage when the stagger is running down if you know you're not going to be able to kill it. Sabotage is almost 100% effective when the baddie is in stagger and with enough debuffs in place, getting them to stagger again is easy. It's sad when the bosses are weaker than some of the medium difficulty monsters out there.
