  1. And who needs color? Or audio? My grandpa saw movies accompanied by a guy playing an organ, if it was good enough for him it's good enough for me!
  2. woohoo, TF3 is going to have more comedy! http://uk.movies.ign.com/articles/112/1129218p1.html
  3. Only this isn't some hack producer looking to make a quick buck. The original crew wants to do and it's been a labor of love for them... well except for bill, it's probably just another paycheck for him.
  4. omg, that poor little girl has revoltech limbs~
  5. It's easier to list the things they could keep the same: part of the body and the hands.
  6. I'm just hoping that in Iron Man 3 Marvel lets Favreau tell the story he wants to tell now that it no longer has to prop up 3 other movie franchises.
  7. rumble's bot mode looks fantastic, picking him up for sure.
  8. I agree with you on principle but it makes sense to me that if it's emergency then the cop SHOULD have avoided the movie set. Productions can shut down streets and driving into the middle of one can get you stuck. It would be faster to drive around the production area.
  9. so what's this other stuff?
  10. he's not talking about how pointy the 25 is he's talking about how the 25 wasn't designed with armor in mind so that once armor is attached the whole thing becomes a fiddly mess where a stiff breeze or a stern look is likely to make parts fall off or just break a key joint.
  11. possible, yes. worth doing? No. The goal on any aircraft is to make it light as possible to save room for stuff like fuel and ammunition. All the mechanics necessary to make the engines swing down, absorb the shock of taking weight, etc would pretty much make it worthless for anything else. And even if one day we have the magically materials and fuel to make it possible any aircraft without all that extra weight would still be cheaper and superior in performance.
  12. as I posted on cinematical back in 2008: http://blog.moviefone.com/2008/07/21/oh-no-top-gun-2
  13. Is it just an action figure?
  14. I've only been saying that for years but nice to get some industry confirmation.
  15. " in excess of..." so yeah, I'm sure it will be for millions
  16. Friends wedding cake was a giant sdf-1 with two cf vf-1a doing the honor guard for a swooping vf-1d virgin road.
  17. Whatever is right, if you don't know the basics of perspective it certainly isn't up to me to teach it to you. Your comparison shot is wonky and I called you on it. You can try to spin this any way you want but All I can is I've wasted more than enough time on you.
  18. Yeah, i know, but coupled with the fact that you took that comparison shot from something like a 30 degree angle which completely distorts the proportions it's not a fair or even remotely accurate comparison. You like the hi metal, good for you, but if you're going to do a comparison shot you should at least try to be honest about it and not distort one to try and make the other better. Sorry if that's too much to ask. As it stands, I was accurate in my assessment, the 1/60 is mistransformed and the comparison shot is at an angle that distorts proportions. That has nothing to do with what I "like" but rather what is accurate and fair.
  19. when you push the chest plate up so high it takes away one of the things the 1/60 does do correctly over the hi-metal, the chest/heatshield/intake proportions. It makes the 1/60 look like it has the long waist/small chest like the hi-metal when it doesn't. And when you take the photo from such a low angle that the little shoulder lamps and tail fins aren't visible you aren't doing it any favors either. Not saying the hi-metal looks bad. I think it's astonishing how good it looks given how small it is, but it also has a boat load of compromises compared to the line art as does the 1/60
  20. Yeah, I like the hi-metal better than a mistransformed 1/60 shot from a wonky angle too.
  21. Young doesn't work because people don't respond to him in a realistic manner. When he was telling Tellford that the crew wouldn't follow him, I had to laugh. At this point I'd be willing to take orders from a can of refried beans. The problem with the show is that the SG has always been a plot centric, episodic show. Now they're trying to be character driven but it's clear that either the writers don't know what they're doing or the producers don't have the nerve to go all the way.
  22. This whole situation perfectly illustrates what I hate about the writing on this show. Camile was willing to stage a mutiny and kill soldiers in order to get what she wanted. But now, since the writers need a foil to Young, they make her all soft and bleeding heart towards a bunch of aliens that killed a bunch of them, marooned them on a barely habitable world, not to mention had zero qualms about killing a pregnant woman.
  23. that's what I'm hoping for but I also want to hold out and see if they make that movie version too. I figure the yammie is good enough for frog mode.
