  1. Awesome, I used to talk to my grandparents to listen to old people talking about newfangledstuff they didn't like. But sadly they passed on, thanks for filling the void guys!
  2. I've done both. While there's less work in fixing 1 joint on the DX versus 1 joint on the V2, there's far more problematic joints on the DX that need fixing: shoulders, shoulder swing bars, elbows, and hips. So, just in my experience that's 3 out 3 DX that need joint rehabilitation after being shelf warmers or 1 out of 13 V2s that have needed repair. That's at least 12 joints that needed to be dissembled versus 1. Yeah, I sure do have an odd definition of quick and easy.
  3. Well, it's just that to fix the shoulder it's a quick and easy dissemble. The parts on the DX that tend to go are the metal on metal shoulder bars, the metal ball/ plastic shoulder, the metal ball / plastic hips. There's just a lot more to monkey around with compared to the one shoulder joint on the vf-1. Look, I don't mean to scare you off of the 27. Despite its flaws I think it's a fine toy. The fact that it's starting to go loose on me despite me babying it is irksome but other than it's a good looking toy that fixed many of the issues with the dx 25 and it has great shelf presence.
  4. Well... I have 13 ver 2 vf-1 toys and 3 DX toys (one 25 and two 27) and only 1 yamato has a busted shoulder while all three DXs have become floppy. And the busted shoulder is a lot easier to deal with.
  5. That's right, I'm the plastic vampire. I steal the structural integrity of my DX toys to ensure my ver.2 /160 vf-1 toys don't spontaneously explode
  6. Well. I wouldn't pass on it because of the GERWALK. It's still pretty good. The plastic quality and paint quality are the same as the DX 25. The nose paint isn't an issue as long as you transform it correctly. edit: when I say the plastic quality is the same, I mean they will diminish in volume over time and eventually joints will become loose and floppy.
  7. it has a better GERWALK than the 25 but it's still not as good as the GERWALK on yammie vf-1 or vf-11.
  8. Hey guys. Not sure if this has got around but EMS service to the US has resumed. So, panic over, we can all get back to our regularly scheduled lives.
  9. wait, wait... weren't we all clamoring for Bandai to make Macross products just so we could compare how awesomely spectacular the Bandai would be next to the exploding, cancer causing yamatos that also kick small dogs and steal candy from poor children?

    Yamato 1/60 VF-X

They're shipping. Those of you who placed an order through me, you all have PM waiting.
  11. wow, wrong thread again. Losing my marbles in my old age.
  12. you're talking about the company that puts blu-ray format commercials on blu-rays.... just how do they think we're watching them in the first place?
  13. And the stuff inside is a major part of today's toys for me.
  14. no word on ME3, even an official announcement. I think the next ME game is supposed to be some sort of multiplayer combat type game that takes place in the ME-verse but isn't focused on the Shepard storyline. If that's what it turns out to be, I'm pretty ambivalent on it. The combat in ME2 was much improved from the first game but it's not good enough for me to pay 60 bucks just for more of that.
  15. Sad to hear, ESB is by far my favorite SW film and just one of my favorite movies in general.
  16. I don't know how much their Photoshop guy makes but it's clearly too much...
  17. I think we can all agree that the MPC veritech has the best gerwalk though.
  18. the toy's R us in newark, CA is pack full of animated rodimus minor and ironhide if anyone is till looking.
  19. yup, it's a pretty sick, sick story. He sides with the people who kidnapped him as a child, tries to seduce his own sister, sides with smugglers and other criminals against legitimate business people. He's a sick bastard.
  20. in ep 5 both shin and nora pull off the cobra move. In the animation, it appears that the vf-0 is able to attain a slightly more aggressive angle than the sv-51, however.
  21. I have to go with Luke Skywalker. He and his friends pushed civil war on an entire Galaxy. Used civilians as human shields, causing the destruction of an entire planet. Overthrew the democratically elected government and reinstated an aristocratic and theocratic government. He's a brutal religious jedi-o-fascist.
  22. errr... I meant only in the context of the show. Just that it takes place after the last act of robotech so that I don't expect the mecha to look different. In the grander sense of where the franchise is and what they're doing with it, I agree with you completely.
  23. I'll give him a pass on the derivative mecha designs since shadow crap takes place immediately after the conclusion of the robotech series. The new stuff has to look like the old stuff as a result. Still doesn't explain the rotating colony cylinders though... that's just stupid.
  24. man, that's a slick setup.
  25. powercrap combiners are crap, I try not to think about them at all.
