    It doesn't make sense thematically for them to be aliens. One of the main ideas of the movie is the relationship between parents and children. But here's Spielberg talking about it

    The US went through this a few years back with companies like Ford going after third party manufacturers, clubs, pretty much anyone who used their logo without licensing it first. Then they realized they were alienating what few loyal customers they had left... But yeah, it's a pretty reactionary and short sighted thing to do. Makes me wonder if it's just another example of a bored lawyer looking for something to do rather than actual corporate strategy.

    the thing I don't like about the renegade options is that often times they're just the impatient, short-sighted option rather than anything that's actually morally grey or ruthless.

    the yf-19 would require pretty much a complete resculpt of the vf-19. If we're talking just design and tooling costs the MF VF-19 variants would be much cheaper to do since we're talking about 60% or so new molds but the question is how much demand is there for them?

    300 is pretty steep. I don't think I'd get one at that price unless it launched with some incredible games. Ports of 3 year old PS3 games really don't count.

    I like the idea too. This thing is still nearly a year off and updating the main thread with any minor news is going to be a lot more convenient.

    there's plenty of the current BB and SS still out at target for you.

    regular star destroyers aren't that much longer than the SDF-1. 1600m versus 1210. And a 1/300 scale Yamato would be small, but still longer than an ARMD so there's still plenty of space for details. The Executer on the other hand...

    So, leader BB looks devoid of electronics, which is pretty awesome. I hope all the new leader class toys are like that. SS and Prime might be truly awesome without having to severly compromise one mode in order to accommodate that crap

    Okay, so Sony is saying the graphics are "close" to a PS3 so that comment about it being as a powerful as a PS3 was more about features than raw power.
