I don't believe it would produce a plume that large if it was that small. If it was coming from the shoulder vernier, then yes, that plume is about the right size for that nozzle. If you guess the origin of where that plume is coming from, it would be right at the tip of the shoulder, right where that shoulder vernier is not the FAST pack. if you take a look at the shoulder detail from the yf-19 model in the june 2002 model grphix, it looks like it has three seperate thrusters... I think the plum comes from the rear facing shoulder thruster and not from the fast pack. zoomed in pic:

At least do themselves a favor and cast the Green Lantern as someone who fits the role. Considering that, heaven forbid, Jack Black DOES pull in fans for the GL franchise. None of the newbies will recognize the slim Green Lantern. well, the thing about the GL mythology is that there are so many of them... jack doesn't have to be Hal Jordan or even the new guy, he could be random dude with GL ring... kinda like this new catwoman movie... but I agree with you on this one.. I think marvel is being much smarter about tying in their movies to their comics.

yup. that's my complaint as well, that the sensor pod sits to high up, wish they made it a bit more flush with the torso... that and the sculpt on the sensor itself, just looks like a rectangular piece of plastic with a red round bit stuck on the end. oh well... I'll deal. or maybe someone will make an aftermarket bit for that piece....?

my problem with the collapses into forearm theory is: where does the hand go? I think that the weapons may fold down to be more flush/protected when not in use but is still not standard to the yf-19.... I figure if it was, isamu would have used during his dogfight with guld.

The Macross Compendium has the following to say about the YF-19's shoulder FAST Packs: - two FAST Pack conformal propellant tanks mounted above dorsal nacelles in Fighter mode or to the sides of shoulders in GERWALK and Battroid modes. Graham hmmm, the thruster seems standard to the yf 19 and fires from underneath the fastpack?

Unlikely (Jack Archer might not be Macross canon, but is RT canon). I'm wondering about "double-dipping" personally, because if some of the early Shadow Force images still apply, then all Toynami have to do is take their upcoming Shadow Fighter, make new wings with missile pods imbedded, and bingo bango another 80 bucks for an official Shadow Force design... But on the other hand that may get a MPC Beta made, as they just need to switch out the sensor boom for a synchro cannon of a New Gen Beta to make it a Shadow Force version, meaning that Toynami would get more use out of any Beta molds. Cyc well, there is that new robotech game coming out which takes place during the invid war right? great opertunity to introduce new character and new alpha variant....

could be a case of the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing... it's not uncommon for company lawyers, who want to justify their salary to go after guys like this, when marketing or other divisions actually like em since they help the fan base.... then again, brand weakening is a big thing for companies...

hmmm, I would have thought the release dates would be farther off from each other... but makes sense to launch the shadow alpha early in '05 to drum up interest in Shadow Force... I wonder if they will make non canon variants as well....?
