uhm, kinda spoilers. don't read further. the mind games vincent plays with max are just great... I like how max tells vincent that he lacks empathy but that is just wrong, vincent uses his empathic awareness of people to kill them more efficiently... just brutal.

not nearly as bad as george clooney... hmmm, bruce bobs his head around whenever he talks and so does batman... only, his entire upper body moves because his costume doesn't allow for any head movement...

I think I'm one of the minority that actually loves the gameplay mechanics of the flashlight. I'd never use that mod that 'tapes' the flashlight to your gun, because of what that takes away from the game. I hate to sound like a McDonald's commercial but I'm loving it. nope, I totally agree with you, this game is atmosphere and visual eye candy.. it has nothing to do with realism.. if you want realism go play rainbow six or any of the other realistic shooters and leave us to our merry demon slaying.

the real estate market is super overvalued and will correct its values soon (2-5years) and alot of people will lose money mmm, this is kinda correct, california is a bit different than other markets, as is new york city and any other high population/limited land areas. while california is a large state, very little of it is actually easy to develop, most of the ariable flat land in the state is already developed or is currently agricultural... in fact only a few areas in southern california is currently available as undeveloped land, notably the area around victorville and apple valley. if you go farther north of their, the land is primarily agricultural and very little exists in terms of infrastructre and existing in terms of employment or support for urban/suburban development. and the bay area is even more constrained geographicaly. so while the housing market is over valued a readjustment would only be around 20% and at most 30%. a lot of money considering many people only put down 20% when purchasing a new home but over the long term, they will more than make back their money. And the people purchasing acres of undeveloped land for a only a grand (or a couple grand) per acre are betting pretty wisely, IMO. you also need to take into consideratin that people will always migrate to california, be it people from other states moving to california or from other countries. california will always attract new comers and thus the population will always grow. Also, despitea few public companies leaving the area, there is little reason to think that there will be a mass migration of companies ut of california causing a depression in the economy. even with the recent economic downturn, california remains a strong and viable economic power... back on topic, i think a lot of people are ditching their old macross gear because the new nflux of toys by yamato and toynami and the reissues of bandai means that people just won't be willing to pay a grand for a toy they can get for 10% of that price.

HAHAHA, the drama never ends http://www.darkhorizons.com/news04/040809e.php 'The Doc' is back after a brief respite with a response to Friday's rumours about "Smallville" boy Tom Welling being considered for the Supes role: "Thought I'd drop by some info on everyone's favorite superhero and what's going on at Warner Bros. As you know I've had some dealings with the studio and can put straight some recent rumors. Tom Welling has not been offered Superman by Bryan Singer. Singer wants an unknown in the lead role. Trust me when I say Tom Welling will not be the next Superman. I'm not sure how that rumor came about but it's bogus. My agency got a casting call last week for Superman. Actors are going to get put on tape starting next week. Singer and his team will then meet actors, sort through the tapes and decide which actors they want to come to Burbank for a final screen test. Word is Superman might be cast as early as September. The search is apparently all over North America. I guess they'll have casting directors in LA, NY and Canada. Another interesting bit. Warners are apparently going to rent the Fox studios for the next 2 years. I don't know what that means. Maybe they're shooting two Superman movies back to back, maybe they're just keeping it for the inevitable Superman sequel, maybe Green Lantern is gearing up, hell, it could be Scooby Doo 3! I honestly don't know, but look for a big Warner production to be in Sydney after Superman". Thanks to 'The Doc'.

the thing I hate about these stories is the way they sensationalize these tragedies.. many people here have already said it but these news organizations.. and I don't care what their party line is.. be it Fox news network or CNN.. they take tragedies, like this incident, or columbine or the air jordan shootings and they try to make it something that it isn't so it sticks in people's heads... this wasn't about an xbox... columbine wasn't about Doom and it was because of the availability of guns, or marilyn manson or clinton bombing sudan. the air jordan shootings weren't about shoes... but the freaking media and politicians and entertainers like rush and moore and fox news network want you to think that it's about how things are making people commit crimes... they want you to think that if everybody just listens to what they listen, play what they play, watch what they watch the world will be so much better and they don't care if they take a horrible isolated incident and turn it into some big national drama and parade around the victims so they can make a few bucks or win the next election... all just so much sacrifice on the altar or money and power.

You obviously don't know much about Michael Moore. Now I remember why political discussions aren't allowed on this board. As for the topic, it's clear that there were other elements involved here. I'm sure there had probably been many things leading up to this incident and finally things just came to a head. These people had it in them to do such an evil deed wether an X-Box was involved or not. I'm sure if it had been a six-pack of Hamms stolen the outcome would have been the same. uhm, yeah, I apologize for the democrat thing... but hey, liberman and gore's wife made names for themselves blaming youth crime on video games, movies and musiv videos... but michael moore on the other hand, he is not above twisting tragedy to suit his own political agenda..

just saw it, thought it was great... yeah there are some plot holes but really forgivable since it's pretty obvious that michael mann is trying to do something more than just a crime story. acting was great, look and direction were top notch, action sequences were quick and realistic... just a smart movie

Computer issue, thought i'd try the MW thinktank.

okay, here's what I think the problem is... I'm guessing from your system specs that the geforce go fx5200 you have only has 32 megs of ram in it... shouldn't be a problem but I think I remember reading dell clocks their go fx5200 kinda slow. also, and probably more important, the rainbow six game doesn't support the chipset.... http://www.bay-wolf.com/videoupgrade.htm this is a guy who helps users upgrade their video cards, haven't used him before so don't blame me... sorry but it looks like it's hardware and software in this case, you might want to email the support guys at both bell adn rainbow six and see if there is an unoffical work around as well. stuff you might want to try... get the latest drivers, and patches.. they might help. also take a look at this page: http://www.rojakpot.com/default.aspx?locat...&var1=76&var2=0 these guys overclocked a toshiba that ran the go fx5200 and they mention the name of the program they used to do it... uhm I'm not suggesting you do this in anyway, I'm only pointing out some guys who did some things to a computer that is similar to yours... in no way do I assume responsibility for any actions that you might take with this information.... these guys were able to play UT-2003 at a pretty high res at decent fps... definitely make sure you get any and all driver updates... check dell, they might have some stuff for you BIOS and system drivers. check nvidia and make sure you have the latest drivers and windows update and get any critical drivers. and see if there are any patches for the games... if you have 32 megs of ram on the video card, I would strongly consider upgrading if it isn't too much trouble. -
man, that's so brutal.. and you know what happens when something brutal happens over video games... yup, the democrats and michael moore come out of the wood work and blame it on the video games. make's me sad to be a democrat.

Hikaru marries Misa prior to the Megaroad-01's launch, then gives birth to Miku months later. That's what Macross Compendium says. Waitwaitwait... HIKARU gives birth?!?!?! Man, I knew the future was a strange place, but... yup, in the future, we won't be limited to such narrow constraints as biolgical gender differences... both genders will be EQUAL even if it means massive surgery to make it so!

novel means it's a newly concieved idea. We all know where this is going... Heh! Well, I was using 'novel' for comedic effect. True, Bandai beat em to it by several decades. And the design is clearly 'heavily borrowed' from the classic HCMs. Still, it's a well-executed retread.. I haven't had problems with floppiness myself, and I have one each of all their MPCs. Perhaps you got a bad specimen? I suppose it'd be nice if the legs locked more firmly in fighter mode, but I honestly can't think of another example of something that doesn't 'stay put' on my MPCs. I note the anti-Toynami posts tend to be heavy on emotion and name-calling. Perhaps the owners are still distraught? well, since we had all of them out for display, I've played with them a few times, my gripes: legs are loose in battroid and fighter modes. swivel on legs are loose. hands don't lock into place and have tendency to slip back into arm hands don't grip the gun very well, gun tends to fall out easily. and it isn't just me, robotech fans coming in to look at them have made comments as well. I just have had a much more difficult time posing these guys than the 1/60's.

oh please no... stephen sommers is a complete hack, someone needs to stop him from making another movie

I'm pretty bummed about this too.. singer had to know he would be let go by fox if he took the superman movie, so I'm thinking fox was pulling some BS with singer so he took the superman gig as an F.U. to fox. then again, IMO, singer's best work was the usual suspects and he hasn't come close since.

yeah, you're going to have to give us more info... are you saying DX9 won't install? because the geforce FX go5200 is DX9 compatible... I know several people with this chip and they have no problems... Are you using the latest drivers from nvidia? are you getting a warning during install that says: stop or continue and has some bit about the drviers not having passed MS spec or something? if so, ignore it and install anyways. have you ran windows update and gotten all the driver updates? I had problems with the newer drivers until I got the driver update from windows update and then it ran fine. have you tried installing DX9c? and it could be the game... for instance, homeworld 2 crashes my comp after about 30 min of play... very weird but doom3 runs just fine and puts much more stress on my system... edit: various spelling errors. -
got it today, running on: AMD 2400 XP 512 DDR ram of moderate quality geforce fx 5200 128 meg version runs pretty well at 640x480, haven't run into more than 3 zombies at once and no chop... graphics are just amazing... wish I had a super computer so I can see all the eye candy at high res with some nice AA going on.

roy's death in the series always got to me.. didn't die fighting in some big important battle or versus an enemy ace... just some random shots and enough time to say good bye to the person he loved the most.

tom welling is pretty close to thirty years old... so he's pretty close to clark's age when he came out as superman... course, he doesn't really look thrity but that's what make up is for eh?

http://www.darkhorizons.com/news04/040806f.php X3: "20th Century Fox has terminated its two-year deal with Bryan Singer and his Bad Hat Harry production company -- in the middle of its first year -- in the wake of the director's signing last month with Warner Bros. Pictures to direct a new "Superman" feature. Fox has had discussions with Singer to direct "X-Men 3," a sequel to his two successful "X-Men" films, but it had never nailed down that deal, which wasn't part of his overall Fox pact..." (more info). I wonder what this means for the cast...
