well, there are lego star wars mini's in the US... they are just different models.. like droid land carrier, an AT-AT, star destroyer, millenium falcon and some other stuff... if you get all in one series there are parts to make a hidden model, like a Y-wing and tie bomber.

meh... doesn't look too bad in fighter mode but quite unappealing in battroid....

wow... that truly blows. morrison's run on new x-men... while sometimes confusing... was consistently very good.. he took the x-men and made them cool... made them seem alive and introduced real drama and tragedy... it's a shame that people just couldn't accept it. I tend to stick with the ultimate line if I do buy anything marvel.. oh and marvel knights... they still do good work.

I completely agree with the saving private ryan assessment as well.. I mean, just because there were tons of actual WWII vets coming out in favour of the movie, saying how true to life it was, how finally a WWII film showed the tragedy and loss in a realistic manner... I mean, what do they know? I vote with the kids, yeah, history teachers know nuthin! I bet your teacher was all confused how bubba gump could fight in WWII and then in the vietnam war! Man, I totally love the: if stuff isn't blowing up every five seconds I'm bored and the movie totally sucks! school of movie making! micahel bay rules!!! :barf:

yeah, the scale thing is a bit annoying. my hope is that yamato will do two toy lines, smaller scale and more affordable and a larger scale for die hard collectors.

well, because usually when they announce crossovers or remake it goes something like this: a remake of a good movie by that guy who did the crappy movie about the video game! a translation of a book that is going to have nothing to do with the book! remember that horrible movie about the stripper? well now he's going to do one about a book! speilberg and cruise have made some great movies, yeah yeah, jurrasic park 2 but please, no one bats 100% speilberg has shown that he treats the source material very respectfully, I think he can be trusted not to butcher HG wells.

yup, I did say I was overall pleased in my first post as well.. I just think we should be honest about the myriad problems this toy does have and their severity. for me, the fact that people are getting such different experiences in terms of QC is a bad thing. but the toy is nice, hopefully they can resolve some issues with the future releases.

yeah, schindler's list, saving private ryan those were pretty bad too. I mean just because speilberg pretty much defined the visual vocabulary for modern horror movies and just because he played a large part in creating one of the most iconic action heroes ever and brought WWII into the American consciousness again, was one of the first to use realistic CGI in a feature film... has turned out hit after hit for three decades, he can't possibly be trusted to make a good movie.
