  1. yeah, the DVDs look great.. they finally fixed the lightsabers in the fight between vader and ben in the episode 4 as well. course, I would have liked it better if they had cut out some of the added scenes... like jabba and han in episode 4...
  2. have to agree, doesn't look like miriya at all... but still looks better than the miriya supplied with the q-rau.... finally I will be able to pose mine with the hatch open with pride.
  3. Yeah. Definitely agreed, there. There is such a thing as straying too far from the original.. so far that you lose almost everything that made the series enjoyable in the first place. no, I disagree... I think if a universe is fleshed out well enough, you can tell all sorts of stories without having to reference the original plot/characters.
  4. this is a pretty funny movie.. worth watching.
  5. yes, please give us a link and some info.. are these kits? are they figures? are they posable toys?
  6. argh, I'm boycotting wal-mart now, but it's so hard waiting for toys r us to get alternators in stock... and the place I work for hasn't had transformers what-so-ever in months.
  7. last time someone brought up this subject there was all sorts of debates.. pictures, diograms, red arrows and circles flying everywhere.. it was a mess and real hard on those of us without high speed connections.
  8. me want pics!!!!
  9. all mecha and valks in macross 2 are macross 2 specific. the destroids as shown do not appear in any other macross series. floating head is in reference to pics of shoji's head cropped and dropped into photos or on page layouts, making comments...
  10. that's what I loved about macross plus... it explored the world a little and introduced new characters and their personal drama. the macross universe is huge, I see no reason why they need to stick to the original cast of characters, lets move on. And I do like the idea of re-animating macross... I know a lot of people are getting tired of the VF-1 design, but I still love it and I would love to see it get some modern animation
  11. interesting... but the video leaves out a lot of facts... the pentagon is not just some building with a glass and mason facade... it's a freaking bomb shelter. It is one of the mose fortified and reinforced buildings in the world. those windows that didn't blow out, with frame weigh over a ton... they're blast resistant. damage done to rings D and C don't look bad from the outside... well yeah, that's what you would expect because all the damage was from the inside, there's nothing inside those rings that would explode after the initial impact causing them to rip apart. but if you look at the damage done, there's over 30 concrete columns that were vaporized another dozen that were severely damaged and several that had minor damage also, while the hole in the wall looks small in those cropped photos, keep in mind each side is the size of three football fields, the hole is actually very big. check out this site: http://www.spaceimaging.com/gallery/9-11/default.htm shows pics the day after the impact, look at the size of the fire damage.. no way a fighter or missile would cause fire damage of the size. the fire damage is 2/3rds the size of that size.. freaking 200 meters across... you're telling me that's not a lot of fire damage? some other sites to check out: http://www.cs.purdue.edu/homes/cmh/simulation/ - sim of the event in question http://perso.club-internet.fr/mouv4x8/11Se...%20aircraft.htm - tons of eye witness accounts, some contradictory, but lots more than presented in video http://urbanlegends.about.com/gi/dynamic/o....com/2002/03/14 - refutes the idea that it was a missile or other plane dressed up to look like a 757 http://www.usatoday.com/graphics/news/gra/...tagon/frame.htm -USA today article on subject at hand http://english.pravda.ru/main/2002/09/10/36235.html - al qaeda freaking taking credit for the attacks this thing about the pentagon is quite old, what's next to drag up? the jews were behind it?
  12. the other guys at the toy store that I work at ( hopefull for not much longer ) took an alpha out to put on display, none of them like it... they've all commented on the die cast being put in weird places, notably the arms... why??? and commented on the fragility... considering how that was the one that broke on us.
  13. movie keeps getting better and better
  14. oooh, me too... finally I can have my max VF-1s... muahahahaha muahahahaha ha ha muahaha
  15. I agree, meh. the whole matrix theing, neo and all that was just the oracle trying to get useless programs into the matrix so they can run around and have little babies... that whole last bit with the oracle and colonel sanders spells it all out for you. neo and everyone else were just pawns in the game. and so I say, meh. and double meh for that horrible free willy scene...
  16. So cool!
  17. that would be pretty cool if true... also, might explain all the superman rumors around welling... though, last I heard, welling and singer had a verbal agreement but studio brass still wants auditions to go forward...
  18. fighter mode looks great from a top down vew, but I want to see what the intakes look like.. for me, ugly intakes really mess with the lines of the fighter and thus the overall aesthetic quality. think yf-19 toy and its blocky intakes...
  19. eh, big robot anime has never gone away... maybe in america, but it's popularity in japan has remained strong. a lot of the big anime series are big robot shows.
  20. nevermind then, the original head sculpt was also horribly wrong... less so than the new one but still, horribly wrong.
  21. http://www.ropeofsilicon.com/movies.php?id=22 kinda meh for me, didn't like the last two movies at all, but for you fans here you go.
  22. haha, just noticed that the mazda logo on meister's feet is whole and not cut in half.
  23. Luckily, nostalgia allows past crazes(good or bad) to reemerge one or two decades later, sometimes in slightly different forms, so perhaps we're getting close to a point at which we will begin to see a new flow of Big Robot anime. heh? so what do you owe the massive popularity of evangelion, escaflowne and not to mention the endless stream of gundam and the other big robot anime?
  24. leg goes into the backpack if you notice, the backpack on the q-rau toy is much larger than the line art. and I don't know how it works out in the anime... there would be some major problems with the pilot's legs going into the legs of the suit... some of the poses the q-rau does would involve ripping the leg out at the hip. and the arms do not go into the arms of the suit.. the pilot would be doing an iron cross the whole time or they have some serious shoulders... the arms are in front of the pilot, the little cockpit thing is more correct.
