Well, in what context are we speaking of? if you put a massively powerful radar on an F-4 and somehow get it to carry a phoenix missile, sure it can shoot down most near anything in the sky, but does that mean it's a better plan than an f-22? Also, if you look at the stuff isamu pulls off with a yf-19, and the moves that the sv-51 pulls off, there's just no comparison.. the sv-51 doesn't have anywhere near the flight capabilities of the yf-19.. the sv-51 seems much more like a suped up modern day plane while the newer valks seem to be near pure fantasy in how nimble they are and how quickly they respond.

Except UMD movies aren't DVDs. The DVD consortium is irrelevant. It'd be nice if they WERE relevant, as it would mean the PSP would play your existing movies instead of what Sony sells as PSP movies. ... On the other hand, the PSP would be utterly massive for a game system... but there'd be room for the controls(the "square" button on the PSP is mushy and un-sensitive because it overlaps the screen and the reviews I've seen say the controls are too close to the edges of the system to make for comfortable gameplay). I thought that the mushy button problem was fixed for the US release? that's what the people at my local gamestop told me when I placed my pre-order... hmmmm... well, I can still hardly wait for this thing. woohoo! almost here!

Definitely try running the DVD using different software, since you have winDVD, windows media player should be able to run the DVDs as well. A lot of times when you paly around with the drivers, each verison leaves a little bit of itself behind and makes things difficult for future versions... especially if you're going backwards.. that is, you instal version x.x5 and you want to go back to version x.x4. If it is a driver related issue, you'll have to go and uninstall and DVD playback drivers and codecs and reinstall them fresh. Updating your graphics card drivers can also affect playback because some drivers will have video playback code that affects other stuff that they don't tell you about. good luck

Actually, the big thing about the chimp experiment(as well as the tongue input ones) is it proves this conception is wrong. As I said, the chimp brain not only controlled the arm(as opposed to flailing it about randomly) , it developed sections of the brain dedicated to control of the robot arm. On the human level we've set up non-invasive rigs, but they aren't very sensitive and just moving a mouse cursor-type object with them is a chore, much less operating in a full 3D space with varying levels of "click". And we're actually born with very little wiring. That's why babies do a lot of nothing for a while. They don't know how to work their bodies. But we've found out recently that we can learn new things well into adulthood(albeit slower than a child does). A person born deaf can learn to hear if he's given a way to pick up sound. Someone born blind can learn to see if given a way to recieve light. Or you could just wire the arms into an adult and let the incredible adaptiveness of the human brain figure it out, as it will based on what we know now. yup.. the brain is capable of remapping neurons to deal with new things... i rememer some reseachers were working on special chips that promoted nerve growth for implanting into brain damage victims in order to provide a framework for new bran tissue.

IMO, the mecha designs in the Zero are very sweet, the SV-51 is one of my all time favorite mechs not just valk designs and I love the look of the Vf-0. Still love his work.

it would be nice if they gave him a nice subdued color scheme.... but the sculpt looks pretty nice. rare to nicely designed helicopters that look good in both modes.

they kinda grow on me.. I like the green one. dun know if I would buy the toy though... it would really have to be an amazing toy.

Mate , is it so damn difficult to understand this topic has NOTHING to do with Zero´s ending or overall plot ? we´re trying to talk about Macross Zero production values and the companies effort behind it. I too think it´s pretty impossible to expect a direct sequel , mainly cause that would be SDF macross , but even a side story is possible. hahaha , wasn´t it obvious Kawamori is interested in eastern mythology ( Hindu , polynesian , etc...) ? seriously , we´ve known that for some time now. I always thought that a macross sequel would revolve around this aspect of the universe... which I find much more interesting than this magic/song energy thing that they've been exploring. The idea in DYRL I find much more enjoyable and touching.. that something as simple as a love song could awaken dormant memories and feelings bringing about change and a desire for peace... not this craptastic song as weapon nonesense that macross 7 left us with. Everything sounds fine with that theory EXCEPT for the fact that it WASN´T the Supervision Army who came to earth and altered human´s evolutionary process , it was the PROTOCULTURE. Maybe the SA recovered ( somehow ) the protoculture records about earth and saw it as a last chance to eliminate the Zentradi threat. Anyway , this is totally Off topic. We´re talking about Big West, Bandai , Macross and the possible intent to hint a future series within the production effort behind M0 ( not within Zero´s plot) uhm.. so it has been established that the direct sequel for Macross Zero is in fact... SDF Macross... since that pretty much kills any topic for discussion, why is it so badd/off topic to discuss ideas for other sequels? these guys are just a-holes. when I went there last year and asked about the prices they told me it was because yamato went out of business so those were super rare. When I told them yamato was still in business they said they meant the toys weren't going to be produced again and that's why they were so expensive. When I told them that you could buy them on ebay for around a hundred bucks, they said that those were the FP versions made by a different company. when they saw I was about to ask another question they got very rude and told me those were the prices. if this movie really is about the early days with people trying to figure out how to get big spaceships in space, I can see how it would be really interesting for die hard trek fan boys... but honestly for me.. I couldn't care less.. honestly, trek tech is so far fetched as it is, I couldn't possible stand two hours of nonsensical tech jargon being thrown around the background I'm sure to some poor wretched excuse for "politcal intrigue" which in the trek world means the big bad blows up the ruling party with a bomb or something. boring.
