I aboslurmely love the ultimates comic book.. this is the first version of the avengers that I ever got into.. and the story and art have been amazing. hope this doesn't suck.. but for me, marvel cartoons haven't been very good...

meh. Destiny is okay... the characters are almost unrecognizable from SEED... but it's still enjoyable.

You know what? I have to keep track of a lot of things in life. I have to learn a lot all the time. I don't have the time, the need or the inclanation to learn a forien language. Especialy one as alien as the Asian languages. Not everyone in the world is such a fanboy about anime that they feel the need to learn Japanese. 325925 Q: what do you call someone who speaks three languages? A: Trilingual Q: what do you call someone who speaks two languages? A: Bilingual Q: what do you call someone who only speaks one language? A: American!

Levees notwithstanding, they had no plan for such an event that would have forced the evacuation of the city. I saw an AP photo of school buses that were flooded out and unusable -- rather than hole people up in the Superdome who couldn't leave, why didn't they use those school buses to get them out before Katrina hit? Where was the New Orleans Police? After 9/11, the NYPD worked double and triple-time. After Katrina, over two hundred NOPD officers laid down their badges and said "screw this," leaving the city to the looters until the National Guard and other law-enforcemetn elements had to come in, and foud it so dangerous that some looters were to be shot on sight. (They had looted guns as well as other goods.) Now, I don't begrudge the people who were taking food, water and appropriate clothing (note the word apropriate), but it does raise an important question: Given the position that New Orleans is in, and given that they knew that someday there would be a catastrophic hurricane, where were the stockpiles of disaster supplies? Where was the water and MREs? Where were the public officials to distribute it in the Superdome and Convention Center? I really believe that, although the Federal and State governments do share in a measure in the culpability for how Katrina's aftermath played out, the bulk of the blame must be placed upon the governments of the Orleans Parish and the government of New Orleans, who were almost criminally negligent, In my opinion. 325844 yup. I gotta agree with you here.. if people want to build homes in flood planes, or unstable hills or cliffs, let them. but don't go blaming the government when nature comes knocking. Maybe the Federal government could have acted sooner.. but I fail to see how raping, looting TVs and shooting at hospital workers makes things better. And let's consider, louisiana and other southern states take WAY more of federal tax dollars in aid and subsisdies than any other state and they still can't get their house in order. I feel for those people, I really do... but instead of praising a mayor that sat around and did nothing before and can't do anything but complain afterwards, try doing something for yourselves.

they're overtechnology gear doors... overtechnology.

nice. thought I despise the leg cannons of the Macross 2 SDF. I like the camera angle. very imposing.

primus = meh.

the ending is... uhm... interesting. I can't say I was thrilled by it... it sets you up for a sequel... but for me a sequel that I don't really care to watch.

yes, very nice. that Max custom looks very nice! -
If I'm reading this right, that means the amo magazine will be removeable from the gunpod. Although we never see a VF-0 change magazines in the OVA, the Compendium does say that the VF-0's gunpod uses detachable magazines, unlike the VF-1's GU-11 gunpod, which does not. I'm still wondering if the pitot tube on the underside of the VF-0's nose will have to be removed during transformation, or have Yamato designed some clever way for it to fold or retract into the nose for Battroid mode? Graham 323911 I'm thinking they are just referring to the handle and are using the word clip in the sense that it's the part that "clips" onto the valk.

i will get at least two but maybe more depending on what future add ons yamato has planned

this thing looks great. I love the idea of the rotating cockpit.. I wonder if they'll hinge the shield to show this feature off.

people following naruto, what do you think of...
eugimon replied to NERV's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I am a fan of the series but this bug arc and the one before it are just horrible. Naruto himself seems like he got sucked through a wormhole and replaced with a version of himself from the beginning of the series. And even as character studies of the peripheral characters.. it's still tedious. nothing new, just the same old stuff that we've seen a thousand times before. -
I finally got on board the galactica wagon... I picked up the DVDs for the mini series and season 1... this show is awesome.. some great throw backs to the original show but entirely great all on its own. I can't wait till the season 2 DVDs come out... don't have cable...

get the 1/48's... everything else is ... meh.
-
meh, all gundams have been super robot shows... well.. not war in a pocket... but most then... if you're watching a gundam anime this is something you just need to buy into... other wise it's like watching a mickey mouse movie and complaining it's about a mouse.

meh, the zero was supposed to be a test bed for new tech. given how new the technology was it makes sense that they would build off of the front line fighter rather than trying a new design... sides... there ain't nothing wrong with the VF-1... there's plenty of new and different designs in mac zero.

Well, the toes at least are correct, if you look at the side shots, you can tell that the feet assemblies are beveled... I think that straight forward shot is misleading. The head lasers are off though. oh well... Looks awesome! can't wait to get this thing! woohoo..!

these hands look great! just another reason to pick up the armor pack. nice.
