1. oh yeah... SSX for the PSP is great fun... I've been playing X-Men II lately and before that I burned through Gundam Battle Tactics which was good giant robot fun
2. does anyone remember this fan made spoof movie from about five years ago? I'm looking for a copy but can't seem to find it anywhere... any suggestions or does anyone have a copy ? thanks
3. 5" to display your valks in Battroid or Gerwalk and 7.5" to display them in fighter.... These are nice bases... but don't do much for cool in flight displays like the flexis 340171 that's the thickness. I want to know the diameter of the disc itself... or, how long it would be from one edge of the disc to the other assuming the line passes through the center of the disc
4. hmmm... they look nice, what's the diameter on these guys?
5. hmmm.. I think I saw this movie already.... Oh yeah. I did. It was called Bourne Identity.
6. any plans for a low viz pilot recast? mello yellow in my CF is starting to bug...
7. hmm, on the MPC and on this one the windows are right in line with the grill which is what to my untrained eye one of those cabs looks like.... am I missing something? only if you roll around on gold skates.
8. I don't think they're "botching it" at all, they're making design decisions. Convoy's bot mode is more iconic than his cab mode... so more attention is going to be placed there to make it anime accurate... this means that his cab mode is going to suffer... trailer hitch too long, fuel tanks too small. I actually don't mind this at all. Convoy is big bot that turns into a truck, not a truck that turns into a bot.
9. Get Real Alternative. It has all the codecs to play all the RM file, but does it through Windows Media Player Classic. 339872 Sounds good! thanks for the tip!
10. heh... that's right.. man.. that shatner... wait... what? what is he type cast now as?
11. rm file... booo.... can't stand real player and all the crap they install behind your back. oh wells.
12. hmm, that new arm/headlight assembly is interesting! thanks for the pictures... hope this new line produces some nice bots!
13. well, by this reasoning every company that makes a durable good is milking it... car companies, appliances... the list goes on.. you guys forget though.. not everybody has a gameboy or PS or blah blah... ever think that these new releases aren't necessarily aimed at you but at attracting a new customer?
14. they don't... it's pretty much the same load of BS that we got here when Yamato released the 1/48 VF-1s Hikaru... and people pissed themselves complaining that yamato didn't just different spare heads but MADE people buy a whole new toy... blah blah blah... just typical entitled childish complaining.
15. it was a criticism.. more of admiration...
16. hey, why make something new when you can just keep repackaging the old?
17. i wonder if it is a durability issue... someone correct me if I'm wrong... but when you add a pigment to plastic, doesn't it weaken it somewhat? the clear plastic on the heat shield seems to me to be much stronger and flexible than the other plastics used on the VF-1... those little hinge nubs take a fair amount of stress.
18. meh. traditional hand painted cartoons are great and all.. and so were those old movies without sand.. ah.. those were the days... when you had a guy witha piano playing along. I mean, nowadays you hardly ever see an upright piano played at a movie theater. Just today I was watching Domino and thought to myself, hmmm, a good pianist could really make this movie come alive instead of this newfangled pre-recorded dolby digital nonesense! Seriously though... digitally painted anime allows for greater continuity, cleaner images and a product that is faster to produce, easier to record to distribution media... further, you can't just point out poorly integrated CG into animation and say that this is why CG/handdrawn hybridization is bad. I'm sure when the first color movies came out, the same lot of you would have sat around and bitched about how the colors don't look right.. look at that red, that's not what red looks like. blah blah blah. sounds like just a bunch of old whiners complaining about how the new fangled world passed them by.. back in my day, I had to walk uphill to get to school... both ways! and at night, mommy would beat us to death thirty minutes before we had to get up!
19. don't stop now! it's approaching awesomeness!
20. wow... so nice! get back to work you!
21. Alternator jets are just a rumor from hopeful fans. I think that Hasbro has mentioned looking at higher price points in the past but has never confirmed if this is larger cars/trucks or if it would be jets/helis. The line that comes after Cybertron and before the movie is supposed to have a Starscream that looks like a real jet. A picture was shown at Botcon(?) but I've not seen the picture turn up on the net. 338540 thanks for the info... it's sad, but when the BT/ALT line started I was so enthusiastic for the line but the toys and designs just started getting crapier... poor transformation sequences, limited posability... the fact that the decepticons are more or less retreads of the autobots.. I really don't care all that much at this point..
22. wow... welcome to five years ago....
23. whine whine whine.. looks bloody righteous to me.
24. I've said it before and I'll say it again. A yellow heatshield does not work on Roy's VF-1 because it makes him yellow-bellied...
