I can deal. crooked jolly rogers don't bother me.. the feet thing... I'm thinking they can pivot... if you look at some of the pics from the akihabara thread the foot appears to be pivoting... maybe someone in japan could saunter down over and take a closer look?

the pitot tube is the little tube that sticks out from the nose of the VF-0 in fighter and gerwalk mode. I'm not worried about the pilot... the thing is the size of a 1/48 so I'm sure they won't have any problems making space for his legs. I can see now how the vf-0 in the akihabara pictures has the shoulders transformed wrong... no posing problems here. and oh my fraking god am I happy I pre-ordered this thing... so sweet.

Haven't seen this yet, but now I think I am. I gotta say, it's getting pretty old to read these reviews that take a movie that doesn't pretend to do anything but entertain and hold it up to some weird uber-intellectualized gold standard. I wonder, for those film freaks out there who want every movie to be some deep philosophical intellectual masterpiece, do you guys only listen to classical music or orchestral piece? do you watch sitcoms or do you only watch Nova and masterpiece theater? Do you read the funnies or is it only the editorial page for you? It seems like such a dreary and over intellectualized world you all live in. I say yay for schlock. I say yay to music that you'll forget about in three months, I say yay to those people who want to have a good time and can appreciate fun for what it is. Yay for movies that don't need to teach us anything, yay for books filled mostly with pictures, yay for every movie made about a waifish girl that kicks ass and shoots big guns!

while I would love to see new macross material produced, I tend to agree with those who worry what forced longevity will bring... but as long as there are stories to be told and new characters to discover and love I'll be there along for the ride. But much like star wars and star trek, I think that macross needs to be handed off to other creators in order to keep it fresh and alive.

interesting.. there's been a few sites that do this sort of new organization of information. check out musicplasma.com, which probably utillizes this technology a little differently because it lets you see what other people who are interested in the music like also like...

the voice overs seem typical american dub work... which is to say over acted and stiff... oh well... visually the CGI seems to take a lot from Firefly and the new BSG. I think i'll give it a shot when it comes out.

my aquariums... and I only have two nano tanks.. i think about people who have huge 500 gallon monsters and it just boggles the mind how much time and money they must have sunk into those things.
