meh, I would rather see that time and effort put into a new macross series or OVA than further revisiting SDF Macross... the animego treatment looks and sounds just fine.

darkhorizons had a pretty glowing early review of the film. I think the movie will do just fine.

SFC was plenty posable, he was nice and stable and for the most part all the super bits stayed on well enough. except for the head and chest piece which could have used a more secure design, imo.

perhaps lord kungfu will share with us what he does, since he owns hundreds and hundreds of toys all locked away in a warehouse somewhere. He probably has some great ideas on how to pack them for long term storage.

1. Guess what Superman is back to planet pushing levels. At least Superboy Prime is and Superman beat his ass. 2. I'll agree it was flimsy but nasty? It's pulp paper. 3. And they did alot more with those four colors then what all the new comics can do with their photoshop fx. Old comic art was smart with lots of panels, character development and art. New comic art is lazy with giant splash screens and 3-4 panels per page.. 4. Liefield was the 90's. 5. I don't see how you can make that claim... books from brian hitch are every where near as good as anything printed in the 80s. smart panels, plenty of characterization and great splash pages. Ditto Quietly, the guy who does the ultimate spiderman books and the team doing Invincible is just amazing. Sides, writers like claremont force the use of many many panels because they keep mistaking exposition for story. Every issue of his stuff had a role call of the team members and what each one did... gets old fast.

wow. I love this guy! Instead of battying about something, he just went out and made it the way he wanted. Amazing!

meh... can't stand the comics in the 80's. 1. powers that were just ridiculously out of control... superman was pushing around planets, wolverine regenerating from a drop of blood. OR, powers that were invented to close a plot hole. 2. That cheap wood pulp paper just sucks... flimsy and the texture was just nasty. 3. Cheap printing, low resolution and limited color pallette. Often the different ink guns would be mis-aligned, or was that an attempt at 3D? 4. Two Words: Rob Liefield 5. plot arcs that would never be resolved...

wow. that shot looks great! I'm not a fan of this paint scheme but it does look pretty nice when done up proper.

and my last OT post: I'll add Aliens to the list... the little girl is introduced way late in the game. and since she's the primary motivating factor for ripley, I'd say she qualifies as a major character.

I've already adressed the Fellowship of the ring, it has the most bizzare narrative structure i've ever seen (it's what happens when you try to squeeze a book and half into movie form, I gotta give it to Peter Jackson for pulling it off though). So Aragorn gets introduced in act two of a four act movie, and Arwen? In the Fellowship she hardly counts as a major character, she has a total of four or five scenes and is promptly dropped. He got cured during the second act, he was introduced during the first. IIRC they all get introduced on the bridge between the first and second acts. It's been a while since I saw Kingdom of Heaven though. That's really streatching the definition of major character. Proximo has a handful of scenes and does little to drive the plot. He's interesting sure (that's good screenwriting) but hardly major. 404258[/snapback] oh, okay, I didn't realize we were going to play the "I make up the rules as we go along" game. you asked for movies were main characters are introduced late. if you want to say that those movies don't count for whatever reason, that's fine. If you want to say arwen isn't a major character, well, okay... sure... I don't see where you get there... you know, as she was one of the driving forces behind aragorn and all... and saves frodo in the first movie... but sure, yeah, not a major character. And all those characters were introduced well into the 2nd act of Heaven's gate... Bailin defeats the Lt's man early on, I'll give you that, but the king, jeremy iron's character, the queen, all introduced somewhere in the middle. and proximo is not a major character? Let's see... he owns maximus, turns him into a gladiator, he's the one who explains how he can win his freedom and then gives up everything he has including his life to free maximus.. hmm.. yeah, not major plot points at all... those are only some of the key points in the movie, but maybe that's just me not understanding the movie, since I didn't go to film school or anything.

off the of my head: in Lord of the Rings Fellowship: Arwen was introduced fairly late Aragorn was introduced fairly late In the second movie, Theoden was introduced late Kingdom of Heaven: Jeremy Iron's character is introduced late, as is the King and the Queen and Saladin and his Lt... actually, all of the major characters with the exception of Bailin and the priest are killed off fairly early. Gladiator: Proximus is intruduced fairly late in the game. There you go, all major characters, all introduced in the 2nd act.

That would be a trick to do, you would need to get the PSP to output the video data via USB or use that TV attachment thing and have a video in on your PCs video card. too much work in my opinion, better off going the other direction and burning a DVD to your memory stick
