1. I've gotten plenty of lemons before. I bought a Panasonic TV, and within two months, there was a distortion in the bottom corner, too late to return it and panasonic wanted me to pay for shipping to them and pay for labour. I bought a Sony diskman and the CD lost it's alignment, wouldn't read, kept spinning the CD around and around. So, following your logic, I should never buy any other product from the right? Because those two items had problems. So even though the dozens of other sony and panasonic products I owned worked fine for years and even though millions of other people owned those products without issues, I shouldn't support them because I got two lemons right? feh, get over youself man.
2. bleh, no 1/60 VF-1... too small.. but a 1/48 VF-1 with new fangled VF-0 type improvements, sign me up!
3. huh... that looks like his engine block in his chest... I guess they're going to try to keep the guts of the cars instead of making them magically disapear.
4. It's pretty good, worth fixing quicktime for... a nice shot of sandman doing his thing and a short shot of gwen stacey.
5. First you have to realize that there is no clip.
6. WOOOHOOOO!!! the venom suit is sweet!
7. They tried that on the original YF-21. There was a toycom ad from france some years back where they advertised the VF-22 Max type. But Yamato couldn't get the macross 7 license. Still, I hope that if yamato does make a 1/60 YF-21, they retool it sometime later into a VF-22 from VFX-2. Hey we DID get a VF-19A from that game! Now that I think about it, a 1/60 VF-11B in the VFX-2 color scheme would kick all ass as well. I gotta thing for that VF-11, it may be outshined by the YF-19, but damn thats one beautiful bird that never got the justice it deserved! 411794 Hmmm... true true.. oh well, I'll settle for a VF-22 in general, doesn't have to be an M&M.
8. It would depend on how they respond and what the problem was. I understand you got a bum unit, but most people have theirs without issue. Graham has also reported that Yamato would be taking care of their customers as well. And from your update with them, it sounds like they are, or why ask for the pics? But demanding that every item you receive be perfect, is well, unreasonable as there will always be some errors, maybe in materials, or during the manufacturing process or shipping, or even user error. Once again, the vast majority of people who own a garland are not having issues, so obviously the problem isn't universal and yet yamato is still stepping up and offering a redesign at no cost.

What scale Destroids?

not necesarily... the q-rau was pretty big, but there's very little detailing. Same with the garland. It could just be big.
10. My whole toy collection actually. Thankfully insurance is willing to cover a good chunk of it. 411750 Nice! Did you have them insured as collectibles? Or are they just going to give you retail value? 411753 Full replacement value. 411770 oooooooooh, nice!
11. sweet. Thanks for the update. I hope it shows the black costume in action.

What scale Destroids?

1/60th scale would be fine for me and given the glut of new valks coming out, I wouldn't expect yamato devote the resources to making an uber destroid.
13. No news on a 21 or an 11 release but it makes sense... specially the 21 since they should be able to retool it easily for a VF-22 version... mmmm... milia colors...

15. MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! *cough* BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
16. I don't think that they would... since the stealth and low viz 2 came out around the same time as the VF-0 and there weren't any new tampo markings as far as I've heard. 'sides, I'm sure there's some tooling involved in tampo printing and I would imagine yamato is unwilling to put money in the old 1/48 design at this point. I would like to see a ver 2 of the 1/48 with some of the design improvements from the 1/60 like the double joint on the knees for GERWALK mode and the new torso transformation sequence to have a shorter torso in batroid mode.
17. They pop off very easily and the VF-0 is panel lined and painted under the blisters. It does leave some relatively big holes though.
18. wow... that's harsh. but hey, I personally think you're the only one losing out in that deal.
19. The nuclear engines were more efficient and able to cram in more advanced technology and components in less space. The conventional jet engines in the VF-0 were much larger, and older, not as modular. Aside that the nuke engines were relatively new, the VF-0's jet engines were old in comparison to the VF-1's. 411695 It's probably also because the VF-0 was a test bed and they made it big so there would be room in the air frame to play with ideas like delta wings.
20. what the hell? How did this topic get hijacked for so long? I remember this topic was actually interesting to read for a while and now... zerg rushes? valks fighting hand to hand? (NOOO not the valks should have swords topic again) an d now steroids? So uhm.. again, I wanna see a mac show about a black op team on maybe a small gunboat and a smalled mixed wing of valks doing the dirty jobs, keeping colonies in line and fighting the odd alien destabilizing force once in a while. No pseudo magic/shamanism, no singing energy jedi types.. just good old fashion small team military stuff with some political insight in the the macross universe.
21. oh nice. I really do like the regular CF scheme. I wonder why they're waiting on releasing the Shin type?
22. That is a bit of a Catch-22. On the one hand, you want to reward the company and encourage them to produce more high end valks. On the other hand, you don't want them to fall into the habit of rushing a product out to market to float their budget knowing that they can release a "fix" in order to placate their consumers. Meh. I still buy the first releases.
23. Nice! apparantly the movie version of starscream is going to be some big hulking thing, it would be interesting to hear his old school voice coming out of that monster of a body. BTW, if that troll-scream is real, I really wanna see the transformation sequence they have in mind.
24. No, but could be the Lucas effect of combination of people awed by the guy or too scared to believe they better opinions than him... 411581 yeah yeah, lower the wings back to the hips where they belong! Since the toy came before the cartoon, shouldn't we all be blasting the animators for going all Mazinger on starscream and putting his wings up on his back instead of on his hips as the original master designer intended??? Booo animators! How DARE they muddle with such a beautiful creation?
