huh... that would be interesting. Joker is already caught and in arkham being treated by dr quinn...

I could see that working when the alpha links up in bot mode with the beta, but the fighter mode link up is the most questionable in my mind. There's a lot of weight to be supported and the alpha in fighter mode isn't the most solid design.

wow. serve up another order of crow for me as well. That's amazing work.
-
you need to deform the wheels a little as well so they look like they're responding to the weight of the valk... you should start your own thread (with permission from Jay).

uhmmm... not yet.... nope... But, uhm, heyyyyyyy, do you think... uhm... yamato will release non-canon repaints of the yf-19?

I feel your pain/anguish at Toynami mate. 420956 ugh. I took mine out of storage just for kicks... man. what a POS. people complaining about the QC of yamato and defending toynami really need to take join the rest of us in the real world... bizzare diecast use makes the arms heavy as hell, weak brittle plastic used in the worst places, locking mechanisms in the legs that barely hold the weight if at all. I'm so glad I didn't buy any more of these things.

yeah, I think heath is a very solid performer. I've enjoyed his work since A Knight's Tale. I think we'll see a very different sort of energy to the joker than we're used to. Not so much the manic clown but something more bi-polar.

Could be cool. I knew some collectors who had huge scale model airplanes dangling from their ginormous vaulted ceiling. But while it's cool to look up and see a big stratofortress, it may be uber geekdom to look up and see a huge anime plane... in any event, I have no interest in non-transforming valks.

We need to publish a cookbook for Yamato collectors. Something to enhance the taste of ramen while keeping the costs down. Guaranteed bestseller if this is the first publication of a MW book. 421413 I tend to add sauces in my instant ramen. Dump some teriyaki sauce and sesame-chili oil, improves the flavor right away! Or Japanese bbq sauce and sesame-chili oil. Or just sesame-seed oil instead of sesame-chili oil. Soy sauce and some oil works good too. 421508 throw in some fresh soy bean sprouts at the last moment. they're cheap and add some crunchiness and a little more texture.

Official Transformers Super Thread 3

is this an impending fiasco? A debacle even? haha... i don't care if it has weak hip joints, I'm just in it for the tapes. I loved them little transforming tapes. 421296 I'm wondering if the tapes (or tape, only one has been seen) will be diecast as well, or if they'll be plastic. Hopefully plastic so their teensy little joints can actually function. 421315 right there with you... if the're diecast, I'm looking into the near future and seeing floppy little rag dolls. -

nice job on blending that image in! hmmm, is it just me or do the missiles look kinda small now.?

BIRDS can't hold position well enough for that. But give planes another 200 years... Hmmn, not much online about Skyhook, best reference is books of the period. But some stuff and a pic here: http://www.vectorsite.net/avav8_3.html Scroll down to section 3.5 It's actually quite Macross-esque (heck, maybe a Kawamori inspiration)---you grab a Harrier in midair, then bring it down to the deck. Or, lift it off the deck when it's too heavy to takeoff normally, then let it go and fly off---just like DYRL Strike valk launches! 420790 nah, a bird could do it. Hummingbirds are freaking crazy, they hold position to feed out of flowers and feeders all the time and can even go backwards... and raptors frequently grab smaller prey birds right out of the air.

I used to think I would resell them someday. but I doubt it. I sticker some up but now-a-days, I don't have the time to do that. And I just buy the ones I like now.

yup, this commercial has been around for a while. Still funny and yes, the girl is super cute. -
hahaha, I thought the same thing when I bought my first 1/48.. I'll just get this ONE because this is my favorite... 10 valks later, I'm wondering when my stealth is going to get here.

I deferred my car loan payment for one month to afford the VF-0... 421203 DUDE! uhmmm... that's not smart. You only get so many of those...
-
the only fiasco I can see, is your post.
-
my god, did you watch the animation they have? They have an F-16 actually DOCKING to a guide rail before the missiles are sent along a second rail to be loaded. That's freaking crazy.
-
thanks for the review!

Like eating.... 420370 It's not my fault I'm part Italian 420373 No, I meant being able to afford to eat, not that you eat alot. A couple of Yamato valks will wipe out the old grocery money in a heartbeat. 420385 heh... for the big releases, we still get at least half a year advance notice. That's 20 bucks a month. If you can't afford 20 bucks a month, I agree... time to get out of the hobby. I am annoyed that they're only giving three month notice on repaints now.
-
The upcoming Angel Birds release is supposed to be a TV VF-1A 420390 true... but the head is a DYRL head mold.
-
maybe it had the same magic OT armor tech that the valks had?
-
Meh, just buy the ones you *really* want. No need to get out completely.

Maybe you missed the part where people said that the MPCs were floppy as hell. And why would you want to play with anything that looks like crap. As adult collectors we tend to be nitpicky about accuracy. I'm glad you're happy about your purchase but that doesn't make it less shitty. And it's not like I've never held an MPC, like I said I bought the first one not knowing anything about 1/60s. But it was instant disappointment. It made me run back to the old Bandais, which were a lot more enjoyable to pay with. When I saw the 1/48s, it was what I was expecting the MPCs to be. Lo and behold, it's made by the same makers of the 1/60s. If Toynami were the ones that admitted their mistakes and made it up to me, whose praises do you think I'd be singing now? But Toynami continues to disappoint, it's the only thing they are consistant at. And like you said, they're making steps backwards... 420123 yup yup.
