as tricky as the yf-19 was to make right, i think the yf-21 is going to be more difficult because of the porportions invovled. If yamato can make it look right in fighter mode and actually solved the whole shoulder thing, I would gladly be counted amoung the idiots who own one.

While I love the VF-5000... I would much rather see the Yf-21 or SV-51 next for yamato... of course, i wouldn't complain if it was the VF-5000... anything is golden as far as I'm concerned.

azrael makes a good point... the fact that the ships involved switch from scene to scene lends credibility to his claim that it was an animation mistake. I always saw the scene in macross zero of the alien technology being so powerful that it could make things float... such as the rocks. You're not going to suggest the rocks had little gravity drives as well?

I think that gap is there to stay... if you look at the two pieces, the nose piece curves down, while the top of the chest curves up making up part of the spine in fighter mode... it's kind of irksome but not a deal breaker for me.

meh, I actually like the idea of megs as a tank.. I was very curious to see if they would use actual treads and how they would work that into the bot mode... oh well, I guess nostalgia wins out for megatron.... I guess this will definitely be an import buy for me, no way am I spending 100 bucks on a nerf colored toy gun.

if the vf-0 was not intended to have the fusion engines, explain why it has shutters on the intakes and it has a sealed cockpit... not features seen on a atmosphere only aircraft.

watch the anime... the mechanic says that they put in the fossile fuel engines BECAUSE the fusion ones weren't ready... which implies that the zero was intended to have the fusion engines all along. what liberties for battroid mode? please explain... how is the zero a better plane and the vf-1 a better battroid? BTW, you still haven't addressed the whole issue of ASS-1... they knew about the giant aliens.

uhm... the VF-0 was going to get the fusion engines as well, but they were delayed... the UN knew about the big bad aliens when the Vf-0 was designed since they built it with OT from ASS-1... and no matter what the fuel, anything that flies in the air and is supposed to be able to carry on the mission of a fighter, is going to be streamlined... so it can go fast and turn and stuff. the VF-0 is the updated VF-1 design... I'm pretty sure mr K. has already said his original design for the VF-0 was something more old school and in keeping with the era, but decided to go with the current design instead, which borrows heavily from his more current designs and incorporates design ideas from modern day fighter aircraft.

how do you guys know that the default color for the missiles and the dorsal fuel tanks wasn't supposed to be grey and that the white on the 0S was done all special for roy cause he complained about it?

the brood, alien knock-offs... they infect a host and then the host gets turned into one of them, i think they also take on the powers or abilities of the person they infect. they pop up in the comics every now and then, they showed up during jim lee's run on the x-men.

I was playing with my zero today... and I never noticed that the head actually pulls out from the neck a little bit for bot mode... haha, all this time...

mine seem okay as well... could be a heat/humidity thing.
