Bandai DX Chogokin YF-29 Durandal Valkyrie
eugimon replied to UN Spacy's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
how much it bothers you is definitely subjective, but that it's prone to those problems is not. -
I leave my valks out by the grill, trying to get that yamato weathered look.
-
I'd definitely go for one in that scheme.

What's wrong with my Yamato, Bandai, etc.
eugimon replied to UN Spacy's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
just be careful when you're moving the main body around. Those little antennas don't touch anything else on the toy. -
all paper products have tiny bits of wood in them, and they're hard enough to scratch plastic leaving little swirls or scratches in the plastic. You won't notice it on the matte surface of the other yamato valks but the glossy surface of the vf-19 will definitely show them. Pretty much the same reason you never clean eye glasses with paper products either.
-
Just never use any paper products to wipe/dry the valks with.

Bandai DX Chogokin YF-29 Durandal Valkyrie

That's really tough. Both are game changers for their respective lines. The 29 has more paint apps and more gimmicks and it comes with a stand. Where the Kai wins is in the transformation. Everything tabs together at each step so that no part is flopping around. This is really most noticeable for me when I'm going from battroid to fighter. I think the 29 is the far more impressive looking toy but the Kai is the better engineered toy, in my opinion. I don't think you can go wrong with either. -
Transformers: Age of Extinction - in theaters June 27, 2014

Yeah... so much worse than, let's kill him to sell more toys! Let's kill all of them! Why, to sell more toys! Kill them, kill them for no reason! Or, hey, SS is popular, let's paint him blue, lets give him new wings, lets paint him orange, money! Really? That's your big complaint? And before Animated was what? Exactly. And before WFC was what? And how well were those pre-movie comics selling? Look, if you guys want to go back to the good old days where only hardcore fans were allowed, go for it and the only new content was rehashing g1 or dubbed Japanese universe stuff... go for it. Have fun.. they're still producing g1/g2 comics for you guys and you're still getting G1 toys in the MP line. You still have all the content you had pre-movies. Back when you all agree things were better. So enjoy. Me, I'm having more fun with transformers now.- 950 replies

Transformers: Age of Extinction - in theaters June 27, 2014
eugimon replied to taksraven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Maybe. Sure. But that's not what we're talking about. We're talking about reboot a successful franchise because a handful of vocal fanboys can't stop talking, endlessly, about how butt hurt they are. This just reminds me of all the hipsters standing around talking about how much they hate [insert name of some popular band] now that their music is popular. Thanks to the popularity of the movies, Transformers are being enjoyed by millions of fans, fans that aren't 30 year old virgins who live in their parent's basements. We have more toy lines, shows, games, books, comics... more of *everything* than at any point in the franchise history. So, I'm sorry if you guys can't find something in there to be happy about. Personally, I'm thrilled. The vast majority of us are enjoying the hell out of this Transformers rejuvenation.- 950 replies

because he still looks like a guy with a baseball cap wearing a box. I LIKE that movie Prime doesn't look like an elaborate cosplay costume.- 950 replies

eugimon replied to taksraven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Some things like fine when it's drawn. But g1 prime looks like a guy wearing a baseball cap inside a refrigerator box because that's what the toy technology 30 years ago could manage. Besides, for the millions of NEW fans that have made Transformers a huge and successful franchise, Prime looks just fine the way he is.- 950 replies

there was only one control pillar, it was the only thing that mattered. It was kind of explained in the movie... over and over and over. And then again, just in case. -

Bandai DX Chogokin YF-29 Durandal Valkyrie
eugimon replied to UN Spacy's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
it's definitely larger, it's almost 9cm longer than the vf-1. The pilots aren't in scale with each other at all though but it's really nothing to worry about. Even the various pilots from yamato aren't in scale with each other. nevermind gimpy at the end there, he's from the dx 25. The 29 has a fully sculpted figure. -
Well, if it is based off of the yf-29 than it's going to have more or less than same amount as the ver 1 dx vf-25. So there's diecast in the ankles, a bit in the feet and then some in the shoulder assembly.

eugimon replied to JCSaves's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
The armor pack is just fine. No busted tabs, nothing missing. All the hands, neck extension, knife, gunpod, stand (and all the bits), everything good to go. Like I said, you want it, shoot me a PM and we can figure out a fair price. -
Strike A Pose! V.4 - The Macross Mech Pose Thread
eugimon replied to JCSaves's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Yup, I remember when my armored ozma used to be able to hold a pose like that. And now it can't hold up it's own gunpod. Enjoy it while it lasts. And I'll be happy to sell you mine. Keep in mind, the front landing gear doors hinges are busted (they just fell apart) The head came with some nasty paint gouges where the workers forced the transformation The back plate hinge has a crack in it But otherwise complete. Send me a PM if you want it. -

Got back from seeing it in imax3D Can't say it's a "good" movie but I had a blast. Are there problems? Sure, of course. Most likely, everything bad you've heard about this movie is spot on. Is it too long? Yes. Are there editing issues? Definitely. Are there plot holes? The holes have holes. Was it awesome? Yes.
