  1. thanks for that horrible visual... I can just see the warning sticker now: caution: using display stand with figure in battroid mode is considered illegal in 16 states.
  2. hmmmm... even more anatomically correct valks from yamato?
  3. so you want us to speculate on unknown fixes to unknown problems... well, given that we don't know: yamatos budget on the yf-19 retooling costs if there are problems extent of the problems nature of the problems (is it a materials issue? a design issue? quality control issue) the interest of yamato in resolving those issues if the yf-19 will do well enough to justify a resissue if yamato will be in business if yamato will be bought out by sanrio and only make hello kitty if japan will be destroyed in a catastrophic earthquake between now and then if the world will be destroyed because a giant asteroid was not split by a crack team of miners and astronauts I'd say Jenius' referral to the magic eight-ball wasn't so far off. Now, why don't you run along back to the yamato sucks thread you little troll?
  4. oh, gotcha. I thought maybe I missed something... haha.
  5. at my last job, I dealt with UPS a lot... and my company had a decent sized contract with them. We shipped anywhere from 600- 1k packages a day with them. And while our rep was a decent guy, nobody from the operators to the facility managers ever gave a damn. half the time they lost a package, we would end up reshipping it at our cost in order to keep the client happy. fedex, imo, is the same, only their operators kiss your ass more while they tell you they won't do anything to help you.
  6. how is isamu a rapist?
  7. that's fine. make the third party something different, like the war is keeping them apart, or whatever... but mix it up a little.
  8. I'm not a customizer, but I think yamato does care about the customizer maket... I'm thinking of the replacement canards for the yf-19 to make painting easier.
  9. in fighter modes, the fz and fbz work, but I find their battroid modes have many design elements that seem discordant. kawamori also desrves some credit for the armored core line. While I find the game itself boring, the fact that there are so many independent bits and pieces that can be combined in hundreds of way and work (more or less) stylisticly is pretty impressive.
  10. this is great news! Such an ingenious way to get around the whole orange gun bit.
  11. mine says: don't count on it. So, I don't know what to tell you chaos, it doesn't look good.
  12. I think one of the reasons why gundam has such a larger fan base than macross is that they seem more willing to pursue different types of stories while macross seem intent on trying to recapture SDF.
  13. I gotta agree with you. While I think the writers manage to incorporate the love triangle well into the stories, I think it's about time where we can see a different type of story instead of retreading the love triangle over and over again.
  14. okay, thanks. I see what you mean about the extra bits on the SV-51 design. I wonder though if the addition of extra planes (that break up the overall shape) was done on purpose as it seems consistantly done on his enemy mecha designs. Comparing his other valk designs, his un spacy valks tend to have more clean and simplified lines while the enemy valks like the fx-109, fbz-99g and sv-51 tend to have more cluttured designs. His more recent designs seem to bear out my theory... comparing the nirvash Zero to the End, the Zero is much more clean and clutter free while the End has extra bits applied.
  15. awww, poor dearie, did I hurt your wittle fweeelings? don't worry grebo, I think your derivative and plagarized designs are best of all. kiss kiss. **above rhetorical statement reflects the opinion of the user only and does not reflect the opinion or views of this website, administrator or moderators. 16. heh, I don't know about that. The PG kits really play to all the gimmicky features found in gundams. all the little vents and flaps and what not. Valks are pretty straightforward in comparison, though I suppose the more recent valks like the yf-19/21 have their share of little hidden details that could work well. I think the armor kits though, the super/strike and bgp would be where a PG kit could really shine.

I find the blue on the miria gbp to be kinda distracting.. doesn't really make sense with her color scheme.
  18. yeah, it's very nice. I'm not sold on that particular shade of blue. or the grey... but it definitely is drool worthy
  19. looks amazing for a custom, I'm going to have to pass on any SS repaints though. too much macross stuff coming out.
  20. omg. so sweet/ can't wait till I get mine. I hope tam gets the rush delivery on his order...
  21. those are the best you can come up with? those three examples of kawamori loading up with decorative bits? If we look at his complete history of work from diaclones to current... you come up with three, genre specific designs. hahaha. btw, those examples are pretty genre specific. the aquarion designs very much fit giant/super robot. gunhed is ugly for sure, but you can't tell me you like shirow when he makes up the same sort of thing (revolver tank from appleseed vol. 1) And japanese battletech? hahaha, that's funny... the japanese version of american versions of stolen japanese designs - aping the same craptastic style in all those cyberpunk/mecha RPGs. yes, they were pretty bad. are these even considered to be his iconic works? I don't think so. and to compare them to bird wing gundam? haha, you're joking right?
  22. what if the bits of the brain that control the powers, for peter, were akin to stem cells in peter and able to take on the characteristics of the powers around him?
  23. just curious, which mecha are you referring to and compared to what? IMO, kawamori puts bits and odd fins to mimic modern military craft (ie: they serve a function) where most other mecha designs add bits to make them look cool... cough *gundam* cough.
  24. that truly is a brilliant idea. since yamato is courting favor with the customs community, a step like this would earn a lot of rep and I can't see how it would add much overhead to the cost of the valk. too bad it didn't happen
  25. the more pics I see, the more I think it belongs on the shelf at target next to the die cast battlestar galactica line.
