not really analogous... the t-38 essential has all the basic functions of an f-16, the majority of the difference being performance... but flying a t-38 is not going to be fundamentally different than flying an f-16. But a VF is different.. because it transforms. So what's more cost effective, having a few Vf's turned into trainers or making an entirely new VF just to train? Hmmm... hmmm... hmmm... you know?

what email address did you use? The emails I've sent asking about fixes have all been bounced back to me as undeliverable.

I'm not arguing at all that the YF-19 with FP looks the badass, or that the shin/ghost combo doesn't look wicked cool... I'm just disapointed and a little angry that yamato would treat us this way. We stuck with them through through their early shoddy designs and their continuing issues with quality control. But to lie to us about the shin type and now to try and pass this pen light off at this ridiculous price point? It's just insulting. Well, all I have to say is that yamato pushed me from being a fan, to a consumer. I'll likely no longer buy multiples of releases and will probably pass on most repaints. Thanks yamato, keep it and see how long your customer base lasts.

that's an obscene price. there's no way I'm paying 60$ for a couple of slabs of molded plastic and a pen light.

the transformers movie website has an updated version of the new trailer, they added a line by peter cullen to the end.

G1 transformers was all about megs and crew hatching nefarious plans to steal energon and optimus and crew stopping them. violence ensues... how is this not prime Bay material? The plot is paper thin, the story centers around violence and giant robots shooting lasers at each other means things go boom which bay also does well. Though beast wars and beast machines introduced more "sci-fi" elements coupled with mysticism, lets not kid ourselves into thinking that transformers was somehoe some great example of science fiction. Better than gobots? yes, worthy of this pedestal we're putting it on? no.

gotta agree with you, after hearing from graham how much time they took on the yf-19, I have much confidence that when (prescient!) the yf-21 does come out, it will meet our expectations.

the hips, but just as important, the feet and ankles need to be tight. This is MPC convoy's big flaw, the plastic feet and ankle assembly is way too squishy to support all that diecast the thing wobbles quite a bit. The yf-21 will have to be pretty well designed given how relatively small the feet are.

well, looks promising. The TF's definitely look and feel alien and pretty darn imposing.

heh, I read a paragraph at an airport book store and it was just painful... this is a definite pass for me. Besides, the little clips they show on HBO are bad enough.

I'm glad to see someone else is looking forward to this. This movie looks like it will be a lot of fun and very true to what made the first rocky movie so great.

other than being true to the anime? I don't think so... doesn't seem very practical in battroid mode. Then again, the super fast pack set loses a lot of it's practicality in battroid as well.

I wonder if they could spray yellow on top of purple plastic... I'm thinking they'll have problems with bleed throughs.
