  1. hmm, so if the VF-0 taught me anything, it would be: Yamato: wait for the FOURTH release.
  2. well, this really sucks. I guess this means people who bought the shin set basically got themselves a 200 dollar model or a time bomb. Thanks again yamato.
  3. nice, the plastic mock up seems a lot more flush than the resin pics we've been seeing. And again, I love seeing all that metal supporting the joints.
  4. woo! this is good news. hopefully my set will be arriving soon. been 2 weeks since HLJ shipped em.
  5. Uhm, yeah. I have worked on stuff "graphic" related and no, I don't think it's write to harass him, but I do think it's fair to comment on his work when: 1. He's "the" character designer, not "a" character designer. 2. He has a blog about himself, that allows for commenting. It's not like I found his personal contact info and i'm calling for blood here. 3. And most important, there's a FAR difference between being told to go in a certain direction and then doing a mediocre job at it. Anyways, of course people shouldn't go on his site and trash talk the man. But I do think it's funny that people here have NO problem completely passing judgement on other people's work... to their backs.
  6. http://derrickjwyatt.blogspot.com/ here's the guy who did the character designs for TF: Heroes! maybe we should all write him and tell him what a great job he's doing.
  7. why don't we just ask yamato directly? could a japanese speaking member please email/fax yamato and find out? recon: the yamato page for the yf-19 doesn't mention POM either. so maybe they just don't feel the need include it on their materials list?
  8. well, in my defense, millia was a clone. so maybe for clones, 15 is really old.
  9. well, I think we can all agree that if you're learning your life lessons from anime... there are bigger things to worry about. But actually, no... isamu makes the point to myung that she shouldn't make judgements without TRYING first. He doesn't goad her into finishing the sour fruit, just chastises her for assuming it was sour before acutally trying it. So in this case, he watched 1/4th of the series, and formulated an opinion based on his sampling. There's nothing wrong with that. And... uhm... I really want badly for this show not to be about kids with valks. again.
  10. well, let's all wait for the replacements to actually start arriving, then we can compare materials and we can have something solid rather than HLJ's word...
  11. hah, the skirt armor on the exia and dynames are so silly. especially the dynames, looks like a little bow.
  12. It's easier to see in the pic in this article: http://allday.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2007/06/18/228490.aspx
  13. I have no idea how or if it's possible to tell the difference visually. I know that the original ABS was pretty thin, to the point of being translucent... so maybe the POM is denser? or I hope THICKER than the ABS. I wish Graham would show up and let us know what the real deal is.
  14. I can live with stress marks, the problem with the ABCrap that yamato uses is that it just out right cracks or, as in my case, shatters. All i know is, when I get my arms, I'm going to take it all apart, and re-assemble it starting from the shoulder down. Then I'm going to GLUE the fracking bicep swivel section to the bicep cover armor, so that if/when it cracks at least the pieces will be held in place by the covers... and this will be my last VF-0 purchase. Unless yamato or someone with a machine lathe decides to machine the arm assembly out of aluminum.
  15. we don't know anything for certain. whether HLJ are a bunch of stupid, lazy, greedy profiteers, or if yamato is ripping us off again charging for what should be free, or if the parts are evn POM, since other board members are saying communications they had with HLJ said that yamato denied that the parts were POM. This is all so fubar. edit: apparantly HLJ has reported that the SHIN type shoulders are not POM, no word at all on the replacement shoulders.

    VF-0S

yeah, I realize there's a grey area due to the ongoing HG crap. but the difference in response is just amazing. On one hand, we had free replacements. On the other hand, we have denial denial and then taking money for replacements, while no clear confirmation as to whether or not the replacements will even fix the problem. Then again, it took yamato a year to actually fix the garland, so maybe it was just wishful thinking on our part that they would fix the VF-0. Well, by "our" I mean everyone other than BoB.

    VF-0S

agreed. they did it for the garland, they should do it for the VF-0s, it's the EXACT SAME problem.
  18. This is how much HLJ sucks. I had ANOTHER package ship from them on THE SAME DAY as they shipped my replacement arms. I emailed them and asked them to combine the two orders. THEY REFUSED and shipped the two orders seperately. Thanks a lot guys.
  19. hmmmm, looks like they tried to ape the look of the Clone Wars shorts.
  20. it does have armor, he drives with his shoulders because there are armored shields he can swing around with his arms.
  21. wow, that is a sweet custom. Got to agree with veritas, that paint job looks so clean.
  22. Im pretty interested in this one. I like that the trailer just sets the plot up and doesn't give away any of the actual story.
  23. I haven't heard or read anything about being able to tell by looking at the outside, unfortunately. I'm still waiting for the 65nm version. if it ever comes out.
