  1. Yeah, I'm just waiting till halo 3 actually comes out before I get on board the 360 train. Hopefully by then, it won't sound like a train. Hard to believe how loud those things are.
  2. The price drop along with the 5 free BD movies makes it pretty tempting.
  3. dang, it takes a billion dollars before the guys up at MS decide they have a systemic failure? TAKE THAT YAMATO! haha.
  4. aw, it looks so nice.
  5. not really, before kamjin showed up, most of us were saying somthing along the lines, of funny, what a loser, hey that tom guy handled it well. And then kamjin got exposed, he posted up his little rant, and now we're all taking shots at captain cream puff.
  6. both work fine for me.
  7. so, you're saying that the best way to affect change in a person, is to publicly assualt and humiliate them? That, as a writer, your words are so ineffectual, that a PIE is better equiped to convey your sentiments? Well, maybe it's time for you to change your vocation. Maybe try bakery, since apparantly you prefer lobbing baked goods in order to convey your feelings.
  8. Nyoro is out, posted on his site. He actually refered people to the anon sub.
  9. PM sent, my yf-19 is fine. but hey, it's yamato, so who knows.
  10. it's like they're not even trying.
  11. pretty awesome. just goes to show what awesomeness yamato missed out on.
  12. I'm pointing out, that you wrote a manifesto about a cartoon. And, that's nice that you're a writer, but somewhere in that head of yours, bounced around that manifesto until it came finally came out. How many nights did you lie bed gnashing your teeth and mulling over your little assualt? It's just sad. What even more sad, is that you would think that putting pie in Yune's face would accomplish anything other than making "hardcore" fans look like a bunch of whack jobs. So, gee, thanks for that. Good job. I'm sure the Shadow Chronicles 2 will now bee 100% macross faithful thanks to you and your pie. The real question is, did you honestly think you would be met with anything other than amuesement and ridicule? Did you think we would welcome you like some victorious warrior? Well, since you obviously are used to using your imagination as a writer, please, go back into your fortress of geekdom and pretend we all love and adore you for your actions.
  13. uhm, you just wrote a manifesto about a cartoon. that's just sad.
  14. hmmm, I guess it's a wait and see for me as well. I'm not a huge fan of either croft on chung. And while I thought his style played itself well to aeon flux and the matrix ( that stark, inhuman view of the future), I'm not sure it plays too well with laura croft. I'm pretty meh on it.
  15. I'm not saying that the garland and VF-0 shoulders are fine. I'm just saying that jumping up and down about the yf-19 arms and and neck hinge might be uncalled for. We're hearing a handfull of reports on the hinge and one report on the shoulder, thats hardly an epidemic. Frankly, it reminds me of the back pack problem with the 1/48s, the only problem being people kept forcing the part beyond what it was designed to do.
  16. for all the die cast love out there, the metal used in "die cast" isn't exactly the high quality material some of you make it out to be. As far as metals go, it's pretty low quality with poor perfomance in terms of stability and durability over time. Anyways, as to recons point. I've had 1/55 on me before. but the reason I compared the models to the yamato toys, is that the parts in question are similarly thin. The older toys had much beefier designs... more material, in general will give you sturdier results. The newer designs tend to stress longer and thinner limbs, with far more surface detailing. Joints tend to be ball joints or other complex joints, while older toys tended to have one directional joints that again, could be thicker and thus sturdier. And yeah, we've all heard of the new EVA SOCs breaking at the hip as well. So again, I don't get why people just automatically assume that breakages or materials issues are a yamato only problem.
  17. yeah, I saw this guy walking around, I think I like the semi-nude valk girl better. Not having seen semi-nude valk girl, I can't say for sure.
  18. still plenty cool! Do you have the transformation animated? If you do, let's see some movies!
  19. who ever could you be refering to ?
  20. I'm with scream man on this one. Until we start hearing more reports come in, this could very well be an isolated incidence. Besides, we all saw Graham namhandle his yf-19's arms getting them into position, I would think that if the part was prone to breaking, we would have more than one heartbreak story.
  21. LACC isn't in that bad of a neighborhood and it has good freeway access. Just don't come to a complete stop at the traffic lights and you should be fine.
  22. yeah, I'm pretty sure there is a purple MPC coming out for the shadow chronicles line up.
  23. hah. thanks for giving me the chance to not sound like a complete dick.
  24. there are OTHER forums??? Heh. thanks for posting the pic up here. Again, I really love how the SV-51 looks. And I love that the toy is able to reproduce some of the gimmicks from the show... like folding up for launch and the extending head. I'm just really nervous about it ending up like the VF-0 and being a lemon.
  25. I'm wondering if that battroid coupler arm is going to end up taking paint off when trying to remove it? It looks like it's supporting a fair amount of the weight of the alpha, and I can just imagine little rings of scratched paint if it gets jammed in too tight.
