Uhm, yeah, they each have strong and unique profiles. and in the movie, you do see the autobots grouped together. in fact, after they land and take their earth forms, they spend a great deal of time grouped together. And they're very easy to tell apart. starscream, blackout, they all have distinct shapes from one another. The one place the decepticon designs have an issue is that their color palette is very close to one another, but this has a lot to do with the fact that they all have military alt forms. The autobots are very clearly delineated by color. And no point would you mistake ratchet for bumblebee or any other autobot. or decepticon, for that matter.

That picture is also misleading, the bots are stacked in front of each other, and their colors are washed out, and they're posed in such a way that their profiles are obscured. It's very easy to make out one bot from another in the movie.

I think the conversation between the AFOS and Sara, makes it pretty clear that the AFOS was a doomsday weapon, left to ensure that a malevolent humanity never reached the stars. IMO, PC wanted to ensure that none of their "children" ended up repeating the sins of the parents.

Panasonic makes a few smaller than 42" Though, it doesn't seem like they're producing 2007 models, from doing a quick search on CNET. It maybe that the smaller plasmas just aren't profitable anymore.

I wouldn't be opposed, if the purposes were for a western audience oriented, live action version. I still think that a "culture weapon" of some sort could be figured out, or the music could be used to awaken dormant memories, that sort of thing. But I think it would just be silly to see a singer standing on the bridge of a warship, singing, while a giant space battle wages. That, and the whole 50 ft tall alien angle would need to be changed, imo. The 50 ft tall human angle has been completely co-opted by schlock B movies, and I think most western audiences would just laugh themselves silly over it.

I'd get the VF-11 just because.. assuming they also release a YF-21. Not so keen on the VF-4. The 5000 though, that I would buy in heartbeat.

Well, Samsung has said that with their new factory on line, they expect 50 inch LCDs to drop down to a grand or less. Samsung LCD TVs are currently the best reviewed LCD TV on cnet. So, a year from now, they'll be no excuse not to be watching HDTV.. unless you're planning on holding out for the OLED TVs.

Well, I'm back to spotty connections. There doesn't seem to be any particular pattern to it. sometimes i can get in through bookmarks, or through the front door, or through the PM link in the emails. but not always. And usually, one way will work while the other ways fail, at the same time. pretty bothersome. I've tried clearing the cache/cookies, DNS and rebooting on the off chance of - well- *windows*, but to no avail.
