as german words go, it's one of the easier to pronounce

oh, it's not an isolated case, yamato even back tracked and released new shoulders precisely because many many people are having their shoulders fail: http://macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=22261 And there was another thread dedicated to this issue, that doesn't look like it made the migration.
-
yes BoB, over time all joints become loose. so now you're counting entropy as one of Yamato's problems? Reaching, even for you.
-
it also requires three AAA batteries, which are not. Since not all the batteries required for operation are given, I believe I am justified as calling this: batteries required.

I don't have a shin combo, so I can't speak on it. But I have 2 0s and 1 0a CF, the 2 0s had shattered shoulders: I've purchased the replacement shoulders, and they were somewhat disapointing. The 0s shoulders arrived glued together, forcing me to pop them into place. I'm pretty apprehensive about them. The 0a shoulders I dismantled and assembled the entire arm, starting with the shoulder and working down the arm. I also found that the rubber gasket on the bicep swivel can have a lot of flashing on it, causing stress on the very thin retaining wall.

psh, the 0s is by far the worst release.

There's some disagreement with whether the shoulders are POM, Graham says yes, HLJ says no, both quote yamato. The shoulders may or may not still be coming with stress marks, though some (including me) are speculating this is due to the way the shoulders are assembled onto the toy, that is, the two haves are put together first, then popped on the ball socket and tightened. No other defects or design problems, the back pack floppiness and feet locks were resolved with the CF release.

just because you're argumentative, doesn't mean you have arguements. since you won't bother to ever answer or respond to points that contradict your tantrums: both the ideon and layzner do not include batteries. both are Bandai, soul of chogokin line toys.

the only macross rip-off I can think of, is macross II. muahahaha.

use a light saber, kenobi did, master, he was. Vader, a master as well, used a lighter saber, he did. <- my yoda impersonation.

aw Bob, your little insulting rants are so cute! Let's here another one! It's so cute when the troll comes out from under his bridge. here's 845 listings on HLJ.com that don't come with batteries: Batteries Not Included And because you're so anal, here's two toys, priced similarly to the booser set, that require button batteries, which are not included: http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN922203 http://www.hlj.com/product/TAK08205 You'll notice one is BANDAI and one is TAKARA!!! OH NOES! And, these toys are completely worthless without batteries, because unlike the fold booster where the light up is a gimmick, these items require electricity for any functionality. DOUBLE OH NOES! Bandai, why have you forsaken us??? go write a letter.

properly chastised, thank you.

the haters ususally wait till the product/movie/show has been announced before they jump on the bandwagon. This time, there's nothing but speculation and they're already starting.

why? What's wrong with just doing a solid story in a good, competent manner? Silence of the Lambs (another adaptation) did nothing new, it was a psychological thriller, it just did it very well. It wasn't spectacular, it just had solid acting, direction and story. Terminator didn't set any new standards either, the special effects had already been pioneered, time travel wasn't a new concept, it was just a solid picture. The movie that cameron made that DID set new standards, Abyss, is hardly spoken of. Honestly, I think people have worked themselves into some sort of intellectual fart about movies. Movies, can be art, they can be entertainment. They don't need to be both all the time.

plot wise, SC is more similar to SDFM than Mospeada is to SDFM. in SDFM and Macross, aliens attack world and generally want to wreck the the place for the humans. In Mospeada, humans have already trashed the planet and the aliens come in and see a fixer upper. And the native humans, for the most part, don't really have a problem with the aliens, who, don't really mind the humans. It's not until more humans come and start lobbing nukes and invading the place do we see conflict. also, in Mospeada, the aliens just get up and leave, unlike in macross where we find out the aliens aren't so alien after all. IMO, the similarities between Macross and Mospeada are merely superficial. the actual characters and story beats are pretty different.

the forward facing shot has the fast packs on, of course it's going to look bulky. Unlike the yf-19 and VF-0, the yf-21 has the FP slung on the belly. I can't believe people are going to start taking yamato to task for something that they have never even seen. It's unbelievable. Let's see if they make one, and if they do, lets all take a deep breath and actually wait until we see something before we decide it can't be done. Fraking ridiculous.
-
meh, it's not like any of the 1/72 mac plus toys looked very good. let's see what yamato can offer before we sign off on the yf-21.
-
QFT.
-
yeah, me too. if they make it, I'll have to eat my words and buy it.
-
yeah, why bother with a review when BoB can just repeat other people's unfortunate experiences ad nasuem? After all, I think according to bob, every yf-19 is suffering from arms that fall off, wings flop around, neck hinges that explode, and stress marks everywhere. And those poor souls who bought the FP bundles, I'm pretty sure all of them have leg packs that continually fall off because the magnets are too weak. I'll wait for a review from someone who hasn't become a troll, thanks.

will they pass out ambiens instead of peanuts now?

I don't think it's fair to jump all over hollywood for recycling ideas. People act like that's something new and startling. But hollywood and cinema in general has been doing it for YEARS. Old classics such as the Ten Commandments, Gone with the Wind, Blade Runner, they're all adaptations. They all took their stories and characters from works of literature. Even Kurosawa was basically remaking spaghetti westerns by reinterpreting them with Japanese samurai mythology. It's nothing new.

2nd'ed. AND, at least you know with the 1/48, 6 months later, the arm won't suddenly fall off.
-
dude! there's lots of them unified mechs now? nice.
