  1. I do believe that when luke used his force powers to affect the very molecules of vader's summer villa, that the height of force farce was reached.
  2. they are not well written, they just go around and around in circles. The first few years was always about some new empire threat to the fledgling new republic, can luke stop the threat (which was always: a threat more scary than the death star!!!) in time while han and leia desperately try to stop the political infighting in time??? And in between we had the: luke hears of some force related crap out in the middle of nowhere, han and leia desperately try to save him! The latest round of books: a new threat even more dire than the old Empire approaches! Can luke and the jedi defeat them while han and leia desperatly try to save the fledgling new republic before it's too late???
  3. http://www.scala.com/hardware/dvi-vga-cable.html That site will list the distances possible with various cable types at various resolutions. This will probably be the determining factor.
  4. I'm with you, the zhan books were trash. I know the SW fans like to hold these books up like they were books in the bible, but come on, the big bad smurf dude knows every culture in the galaxy by studying their artwork? Just one more item on a short list of sci-fi mumbo-jumbo that I find more ridiculous than spirita.
  5. If by sequels to themselves you mean: crap, then yes, they're sequels. The star wars novels have all been crap, imo. A bunch of hack writers got their hands on the characters and just wrote crap sci-fi that happened to be based on star wars characters. How many times now has the new republic been faced with destruction, or some crap? every book (or arc) has some big new threat that's even MORE frightening than the death star that threatens to destroy the ____________ (fill in the blank). The only thing worse than the prequels, are the books.
  6. aw, come on, we all know yamato chooses: ack it will break
  7. Heh, I'm looking forward to the line art comparison debates. But, kidding aside, I hope we get more updates/pics then we did with the SV-51...
  8. fast saw the trailer, it was attached to Bourne Ultimatum... I say meh. Looks and feels like the last the polar express movie, and the character "animation" didn't feel very convincing. Angelina's character moved exceptionally akwardly.
  9. PS3 is supposed to be getting a TV tuner add-on for next year.
  10. that's assuming that Mahmoud actually cares if the populace likes him or not. It's not like he's changed any of his other social policies, instead all we've seen is him get even stricter. Given his statements toward other countries, I wouldn't put it past him to make a major military purchase.
  11. Why would yamato want to make it easy for you to convert the yf-21 to the vf-22? You know they're going to sell their own verion of the vf-22 under the vf-x license. this reminds me of the 1/48 debates, where people were screaming yamato was "ripping them off" for forcing them to buy the hikaru 1a AND the hikaru 1s instead of supplying the 1s head along with the 1a.
  12. I get that, the music we've heard is very developed while the original soundtrack focused a lot on vocals with a more restrained sensability, creating a much more intimate space.
  13. yeah, beautiful world is over sung. but at least utada CAN sing... so much jpop is done by girls, singing through their noses all breathy and at the range of their abilities.
  14. if you look, you can see the silver glimmer of a magnet:
  15. why do you want to know, got another pie you want to throw, captain cream puff?
  16. yeah, bring on the vf-11 and all the accessories, yamato can milk that for a long time.
  17. in gerwalk, the holster is in the inside of the leg, and in battroid, it's on the outside. so as long as the magnet is strong enough, shouldn't be an issue.
  18. I *think* it's going to be able to. The legs already have the slots and magnets to store the gunclips, so I think we should be able to stick the gun there as well.
  19. as much as I'm bummed and a little bit angry at yamato over the whole shoulder thing, at least we didn't get this POS:
  20. well, the battroid sketch pictured looks like a rough of the fz-109a. Granted, there are some differences, like the calf design and the symmetrical chest guns. But the fact that it even has the chest guns, plus the large bulky fore-arms makes it look more like the 109 and less like the vf-14. granted the vf-14 is clearly a derivation in design of the 109, but still, that sketch doesn't look like the vf-14.
  21. lucky day for you then: http://macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=23122
  22. http://www.sarcasticgamer.com/2007/06/ms-s...ve-done-it.html
  23. maybe this time next year.
  24. Well, I hope yamato learns how to make a beefy arm capable of holding and keeping a pose for the big ass protect armor gun.
