  1. at 3-4 valks a week, there aren't too many collectors here you won't pass up in short time.
  2. haha. the name viking makes no sense. I do like the design though. Should add a fun element to the game.

    VF-21 Dilemma

    I'll sell you both.
  5. my thinkpad has a P4... my 4 year old thinkpad....
  6. apparantly gamestop is selling off their remaining 20 gig models at 450 bucks.
  7. I just want to say how much I hate COMCAST again. Their suck DNS server had me rebooting my router every hour or so... not just to get here but to get to other small, lesser known sites, like www.google.com.
  8. you can do either. Many video cards offer 2 video outputs, but if you have say an AGP card, and just want to add a PCI video card, you could do that as well. However, 1 good video card (appropriate for your system) will most likely give you better performance on the 2nd display than adding a slower/older PCI solution.
  9. I would go for the prototype 1 paint scheme, I think it's one of the few yf-19 schemes I've seen that look good in both fighter and battroid.
  10. all still endlessly preferable to the bay area drivers who drive abreast each other, all at 10 mph below the speed limit and who come to a screeching halt in the middle of the 880 so they can make their exit, which is, oh, two lanes over.
  11. I wouldn't mind a GOOD 1/100 scale valk...
  12. I like the white battroid, but the fighter mode just looks too plain, imo.
  13. how can you not love the vf-5000 and the vf-22???
  14. Looks like sony is allowing porn to be put on blu-ray: http://www.cnettv.com/9710-1_53-28824.html...;tag=cnetfd.vid I guess the format war is officially over.
  15. hahaha, the little kid at the end asking for natto is priceless.
  16. I so strongly disagree! I cannot stand bay area drivers.
  17. ugh, tiger schemes are an automatic pass for me, I have never seen one that I liked. Has nothing to do with the proficiency of the artist, I just hate the look.
  18. I wouldn't presume to speak on behalf of HLJ, I'm only saying that I got an email from tam that his shippment has left japan.
  19. well, if they're shipping from japan, doesn't that mean they've hit the streets now? Should free up graham in releasing his review!
  20. I guess it all depends on how cheaply/efficiently they can make new molds and how big of a market there is for M7 valks. I would personally pass on any and all of the Fire bomber valks. They're just the anti-thesis of what I like about Macross. I wouldn't mind the excalibur or even the funky vf-19p though.
  21. Yup, sumdumgai is right, the M7 vf-19 designs would require new shoulders, arms, intakes, legs, wings fuselages, and heads. I think the only thing yamato could re-use would be part of the chest/body and the biceps. Bring on the low viz repaints. I can't wait!
  22. yeah, when I was a kid, I read the books, I admit it. I knew no better. And No, Luke never learns anything in the books that carry on to any of the other books. None of the Force "secrets" he learns turn out to be anything other than: in the end, your friends and family are what's important. Typical saturday morning cartoon arm chair moralism. His powers varried widely throughout the various books... in one book you would have him literaly using the force to tear down vader's hidden retreat molecule by molecule, or levitating by walking on "force pads" and then you would have him getting his ass wupped by leia in a sparring match. WTF. He was constantly meeting hidden force sensitives who were "even more powerful than me!" He basically became the wolverine of the EU. He was everywhere and anytime a writer wanted to introduce a new "even more powerful threat to the galaxy than the death star" the writer would have said character or plot device beat luke a new one. It's just old and tired. i particularly loathed the book where luke falls in love with the spirit of a fallen jedi trapped in the AI of a derelict starship. I'm not making this up.
  23. got an update from Tam saying the SV-51 has shipped from Japan and he's expecting them at the end of august...
  24. I would recommend any of the current batch of 1/48s. They're nice and problem free and pretty sturdy, get whichever one strikes your fancy. Just make sure you're getting the reissues when it comes to the roy vf-1s. The first release had crooked skull emblems on the tail fins and the nose cone wasn't as secure, as well as the front landing gear doors being harder to open. Until we hear otherwise, i still maintain that the VF-0 line is plagued and it's a roll of the dice whether or not your individual toy will suffer a breakage in the shoulders.
