  1. Did we ever get a story as to why that project got cancelled? I would have LOVED to be in the boardroom during that discussion.
  2. are you fully extending the knee joints? the vf-0 knee joints pull out far enough to make a 90 degree angle with the thigh. here's a picture of the leg with all joints fully extended:
  3. haha, his work on his little M3 website barely makes up for this most grievous of over sights!
  4. It's a mystery plane, because it's a two seater, but it doesn't have the chest of a VF-1D, it just looks like a two seater VF-1J in the anime.
  5. yeah, that's what I was thinking. Seriously, all this talk of fowler flaps, bendy wings and the like is just silly, imo.
  6. Heh, I always leave a few goliaths in the back of the crystal fields to act as a mobile AA.
  7. I think we may see flaps for the wings, but nothing crazy
  8. Well, all in all, it made sense, terrans had strong early game units and strong end game units... only fair that the vulture and goliath didn't really measure up to their zerg and protoss counterparts.
  9. huh, 3 years of the VF-1 eh? didn't feel that long to me.
  10. I think you'll find that a lot of us really do like our yamato toys and love to talk about them. keep your eye on the VF-0 replacement arm thread for Graham's post on what the situation is. The VF-0 has some great updates and refinements to the 1/48 VF-1 design and has superior posability... the only ongoing concern is the shoulders.
  11. it's HOW the legs are removable is the key to the limbless yf-21. The yf-19, vf-1, vf-0, all have a hip peg that juts out from the pelvis that the leg attaches to. This wouldn't work if you were going to do a line art accurate limbless yf-21.
  12. Well, I think it *is* possible. I could see it being done with say one flap, being stored in the wing root and then pulled out to cover the hinge.. but, that wing root also has to hold the rear wheel well. I don't know if you would get the smooth surface you want either. I wouldn't mind the gimmick, in fact, i would prefer it to some other gimmicks discussed here... I just don't think you should get your hopes up.
  13. like this one? granted, that review is a lot more favorable than what I would have given. Maybe Jenius can do a review? He does great work and his reviews are nice and impartial.
  14. anything is possible, but it's just not practical. Besides, you'd have to make the wings much thicker to accomodate the flaps. Then there's the deployment method and the likelihood of the flaps jamming or coming off their rails/guides. It's just a lot of work and effort for something that is not critical to the design of the toy nor the transformation of the toy.
  15. while that's a great idea... I highly doubt we'll see something so complex. just look at the SV-51 wing, multiple moving segmets, just simple hinges.
  16. yeah, other than the horrid color, that halo box is a pretty cool deal, comes with a headset that is supposed to retail for 60 dollars seperately. I think I'll stick with the elite
  17. well, that mode is a given, since the wings have to be able to fold in that way for transformation into battroid.
  18. yeah, that's what I switched to, and it made a world of difference. Comcrap was telling me to just reboot my modem and router... freaking idiots.
  19. Well, hopefully yours lasts until next year... when the 45nm chipset is due to come out.
  20. what are you talking about??? goliaths were plenty useful... for my zealots to sharpen their blades on! MUUAHAHAHAHAHA
  21. I would take a picture for you, but then I'd have to transform it. and that would make me mad. Out of all my yamato macross toys, the monster is the one I hate transforming the most. Mostly because it always feels like a deck of cards.

  23. rossiu fills me with such anger... I surely hope he meets a most gruesome and horrific end.
  24. Another day, another NO post by Graham...
  25. nah, he's just confirming that the anime yf-21 can do this... it's not proof that the toy can. Of course, if he *were* talking about the toy it would be good news.
