  1. working for me
  2. Thanks again for taking the time to follow up on this stuff for us.
  3. 1/60 scale (assuming official stats listed on Macross Compendium all calculations use the following: A= size in meters A * 1/60 * 3.28ft/1m * 12inches/1ft = X anime fighter: wingspan: 7.3" length: 10.6 " Yamato Toy: wingspan: 8.85" length: 8.85" anime Battroid: Height: 8.5" Yamato Toy: Height: 9" If we assume a 1/68 scale the fighter should be: wingspan: 6.4" lenght: 6.4" Battroid Height: 7.5" I maintain, the current version is closer to a 1/60 scale than anything else.
  4. again, based on what? the 2001 toy is taller than what a 1/60 scale would be.
  5. where are you getting 1/68 from? From the math, a 1/60 scale vf-11 would be 8.5 inches tall. The current Vf-11 was 9 inches tall.
  6. everything I've read says that the new boxes still have the crap noisey disc drives. Sorry Dave.
  7. Okay, I took a look at my busted arms, and I noticed something. The sides with the most damage, are always the side the rubber cap was predominantly attached to. The one arm with the least amount of damage, had a loose rubber cap that wasn't glued to the inside of the ball joint. So, there's some ancedotal evidence to back up yamato's chemical reaction story.

  9. IMO, CD quality is fine as long as the music label doesn't try to jack up the volume at the cost of fidelity. Anyways, given the crap headphones/speakers most people have, i doubt they would even notice the difference between a 128 bit MP3 and a nice lossless rip. back to the subject, I'm going to have to pass as well. Not enough new music to justify rebuying 75% of what I already have.
  10. uhm, that's in reverse. apparantly the replacement arms have the re-formulated ABS and the non-ABS-disintergrating inserts and no word yet if these upgrades made their way to the new VF-0 releases. On a side note, I was complaining about these arms to my wife, and jokingly asked her if she could have them milled for me in aluminum at her work and she said very seriously, that at her old job she could have but not at her new one. She changed jobs about two months ago.
  11. Those are some great pics! Thanks for taking the time to put them up
  12. ohhhhhh... first post... first... ah... that makes sense. And it's so much nicer than the word I was thinking of.
  13. same here. Love the sculpt, but not interested in paying extra for an MP3 player that I'll never use.
  14. I didn't say it couldn't be done, just that it would mean for a much more fragile design. I don't want any more models from yamato.
  15. put myself back on, looks like my old pin got deleted.
  16. Bah, I fiddled around with mine getting it ready for ebay... and I swear, it's just a mess. Every time I adjusted the wings, I was scared that giant bolt would take a chunk out of the paint on the legs. The only thing I like about it was that it actually had pegs to hold the chest plate in place in gerwalk.
  17. Thanks Graham, Could you also confirm if the upcoming Vf-0s combo will have the new arms as well? Thanks.
  18. the folding canards, the landing gear, the wings not having a giant bolt running through them, the collapsable feet, the articulated hands, the articulated shoulder pads, the neck extendable neck shield, the improved tail fin design. Sure, it's possible to do that on the 1/72 scale, but at the risk of fragility and some things, like the landing gear, would suffer greatly. The 1/72 yf-19 was a POS compared to the 1/60.
  19. I reset my router, changed its DNS to the openDNS address as well as manually changing the DNS address for my computers. It's worked for me so far.
  20. Well, a big part of the improvement seen in the yf-19 is made possible thanks to the larger size. Again, a 1/60 scale vf-11 would be the same size as the "1/72" scale... which was not 1/72 scale.
  21. Graham, Did Yamato confirm whether the shin VF-0 combo got the new arms?
  22. ah, thanks for the clarification. can't say I'm thrilled with their solution.
  23. ah, nice to hear everything worked out for you!
  24. http://www.engadget.com/2007/08/08/xbox-36...ping-with-hdmi/ looks like the new premiums are shipping WITH HDMI output! nice, just saved myself 50 bucks.
