100% awesome.

well, it would need some retooling, since the tuner is for PAL currently.

heh, well, I'm still making by with my samsung HTiB. Which is decent enough but is definitely mismatched with my hdtv. I'm probably going to use it till it dies, or till my son is old enough to stop fiddling with the electronics. I definitely want to get a receiver with HDMI ports though. -
nice, this is really encouraging to see all these positive votes and posts! Maybe I'll pick one up while I'm in asia next month.

stickers do equal fun! ... for my 17month old. as for me, make it tampo!
-
yeah, they are selling, but from what I've been told, the shin combo took a while to sell through. But then, it's hard to say with these toys since they're made in relatively small numbers anyways. Just because the vf-0 sells out, may not mean that much if not a lot were made in the first place.

uxi, I have nothing substantial to add or detract from what you said, other than: drool. -
I'll agree that it does little to directly resolve the situation... but I suspect that many people here speak and write very little japanese so they feel quite powerless in their ability to converse directly with yamato. Further, Graham's reports from his conversations with yamato make them seem rather secretive and not very forth-coming with information. I'm assuming that a lot of people feel like whining on these forums is the only way that they can indirectly affect yamato, primarily by warning potential consumers of the risks associated with this item and maybe even in hopes that someone from yamato actually reads these posts and will see that there are still people not happy with the situation or with their solution to it. But I agree with you, maybe we can enlist the aid of someone with proficiency in japanese to contact yamato on our behalf directly to answer our questions? And I don't believe i've every called someone names or insulted them for buying yamato... but maybe that last part wasn't directed at me?

Macross 25th Anniversary and upcoming new TV series thread
eugimon replied to azrael's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
it doesn't have anything to do with frontier, but I think you missed the point with why isamu takes off to earth. It's not because he lost his job, but that he views an AI plane as something that is taking away his right to fly. For isamu, flying is an extension of his being, it's clearly the only thing he really loves. It's not a boo hoo, you took my job, it's an F U for for taking away our wings. The whole narrative of Macross Plus is about isamu growing up and learning to care beyond himself, which he does by going in to save myung instead of going out in a blaze of glory taking out the ghost. Anyways, this is a similar theme that runs through-out macross. Minmei goes through a similar character arc, as does shin. Maybe we'll see something similar in frontier. -
Support the legal manufacturing and distribution of lightsabers! And it's easier now then ever as there are two DRM's available for those considering purchasing a lightsaber. Under iblade, a force user is able to own and operate a single lightsaber at a time with no other financial obligations. The only drawback being your iblade will only operate with an official galactic ipower pod. Or for those duel wielders out there, feel free to subscribe to cu-for-sure, a no hassle way to rent as many lightsabers as needed*. *lightsabers rented from cut-for-sure will only operate from the hand of the subscribing force user, or in cases of emergency the subscriber may allow another force user to operate the lightsaber for three minutes or three swings, which ever comes first. Any further use of the lightsaber may result in harm or injury to the non-authorized wielder. Failure to return the lightsaber at the end of the subscription period may result in explosion, maiming and in rare instances, death. Any attempt to change the color of an official galactic lightsaber is a crime and may result in a fine of 500,000 credits or a prison sentence. Remember, the use and operation of lightsabers is sanctioned for only registered force users and/or cybernetic organisms or some hybridization of. This is for your safety. Lightsabers don't kill people, jedi kill people.

nice work, I really like the lighting effects and all the small bridge detail!

I'll agree bringing up the shoulders in non vf-0 threads is annoying. But as for any other vf-0 thread... i think it's still fair game to bring it up. IMO, asking about repaints, or new designs or anything else, without having fully resolved if the current shin combo has the new shoulders and why we were charged for replacement shoulders is fair game. As long as yamato is selling these toys and not answering those questions, why should any discussion about these particular toys go unchallenged?

As I've maintained all along, the DEATH star was a huge civil works project designed to reinvigorate all levels of the galactic economy after years of wafare caused by the unilateral actions of the now deposed jedi council. The Emperor in his wisdom saw that the galaxy was suffering and chose to create a public works project large enough to positively affect all sectors of business from the local moisture farmer to all safe and legal freight haulers to engineers and various union contractors. The people shouldn't begrudge the large contracts award to key large industries. After all, these large corporations pay the bulk of imperial taxes which pay for your local stormtrooper garrisons who protect you from the jedi-o-facists and their tactics of fear and submission.

fun, looks like the cold war all over again with a new arms race. hopefully we never get to see which aircraft is more efficient, the b2 or the skat.
-
don't forget to specify you want both tailfins.
-
don't believe him, this is just another tactic by the jedi-o-facists and their buddies in the jedi-media! Let us not forget that this is not the first time that the jedi and their fanatics attacked business and corporations! Did we all forget that the jedi have even used CHILDREN on suicide runs in order to further their ludite ways? Business and corporations are just one of the ways the Emperor provides you citizens with a safe and secure society!

Brilliant! I've added it to my sig as well. -
and here we see the sort of religious rhetoric the jedi-o-facists will use to scare you into following their cause, ladies and gentlemen! Don't give in to their campaign of fear!
-
wow, what a great find! thanks for sharing those photos with us!

Yeah, generally I dislike it when people say things like: but bandai... but in this case, look at the MP SS... even as much of a POS it is, I love all this nice detailing on it.
-
I wish they would print those little details, all it would take is one pass.
-
I wouldn't worry about the pic on danny's page. He's not exactly a macross fanatic and I doubt he has any more recent information than graham. Besides, we've seen pictures of the sv-51 with both tampo and stickers. I doubt yamato would go through all the trouble of making the stamps only to shelve it.

I don't think they're stuntmen, my guess is they're going to be the joker's henchmen dressed up like batman in order to cause the police and the people of gotham to fear and distrust the batman.

Ah, see, more propoganda... it's not the Death Star, it's the DEATH star: Dear Empreror's Ambulatory Terrestrial Habitat Star. It's just an unfortunate accident that the acronym spells out something "dark and evil" sounding. Another ploy by the rebels to turn a wonderful civil works project into something evil and menacing.

yeah, the flier has december of this year as a release date.
