  1. that bird is the reason I love the yf-21 so much.
  2. adam's power first kicked in when he got shot with Hiro, so why would he look any age other than the his powers started at?
  3. it seems to break down like this: bigger sites with lots of corporate advertising rate it high, smaller gamer focused sites rate it lower.
  4. LIAR, nghia59 JUST FOUND IT, how could you have posted this up when nghia59 Just found it, right now. That's insane, that's just crazy talk. maybe I should have included the sarcasm tag on my initial reply to nghia59's post. edit: Dude, I didn't even realize someone else posted a "look at what I just found" in the other yf-21 thread.
  5. no.... we've been talking about some other yamato yf-21 tv commercial for the last few pages.
  6. the opening shot of the yf-21 in fighter mode, there looks to be a grey attachment on the bottom of the rear tail fins, and on the front facing shot of the yf-21 in fighter mode immediately following that shot, there looks to be somthing grey stuck to the bottom of the belly plates. so it's not confirmed... there's no clear images of the fast packs.
  7. well, since it looks like FPs are coming with this one, I'll be right there in your thread trying to fix mine too
  8. holy crap. I can't wait to see the "dobber" sv-51 now. That flanker looks AMAZING... just unbelievably clean.
  9. the boobies almost look like blue eyes, if it just had a mouth it could belong in Gurren Lagann.
  10. wow, looking great! I'm amazed at how clean it looks for no airbrush!
  11. yeah, that's what I'm reading too. lots of high praise for innovative game design and and a great story but massively repetitive gameplay. Oh well, I guess I'll be playing Halo 3 for one more week before mass effect.
  12. yeah, I think you're right. the first shot of the fighter (the spinning top down) you can see somthing grey along the bottom of the tail fin and the in the forward shot of the fighter it does look like there's a grew thing attached to the bottom of the belly plates. good catch!
  13. are the gunpods supposed to be able to be stored internally? the line art always shows them stowed flush along the belly plates... I don't remember if the show has them popping out or not. But i doubt the toy will have that ability, it doesn't look like there's much room there with the legs tucked behind them and all.
  14. I think you're mistaken. The last shot of the yf-21 before we see the three mode group shot is of the yf-21 in battroid holding its two gunpods. There were no FP shown as far as i could tell.
  15. I'm just hoping the vf-11s will be priced at a more reasonable point... if they go for 200 a pop, i won't be getting more than 2 or 3, and those will probably be distinct variants.
  16. true, true. I guess I'll be waiting for the inevitable combo release then.
  17. the gunpods are featured on both the battroid images as well as on the belly plates in fighter mode. Which has been pointed out in this very thread by myself and others if it wasn't apparant to you in the video. no sign of FP though. While I won't begrudge you your right to complain about yamato, try complaining about stuff that they actually messed up on.
  18. get mass effect before all the spoilers ruin the story. While Assassin's creed looks awesome, I don't the story is going to be as important
  19. if only I had one of those image manipulation programs you see on shows like CSI. I could just hit the "reduce noise" macro and we would have a clear image.
  20. thats a good point. Do you think yamato will include the fuel for the jet effect? I really hope that yamato chose the right materials this time. I swear, if my yf-21's thruster vanes melt due to the heat because Yamato decided to be cheap on the materials again, I'll be PISSED.
  21. more for me.
  22. I think you're misunderstanding me as well... I'm not debating the individual merits of either production or their particular qualities. What I'm saying is that the individual viewer may have different opinions on what's important. I'm just saying that a particular viewer may not view the same things as important. So yeah, the facial expressions might be wooden and the "cell shaders" may not be up to snuff (hell, the naruto game on the 360 looks better) but maybe some particular viewer just doesn't care about that stuff. Maybe they think the animation was smooth and they liked the "why is everything so damn glossy" textures? So what could be bad to one person, might be passable (in the case of appleseed) to another because each has a different set of criteria. So when somone says " wow, appleseed has bad CGI" based on their own particular set of criteria, someone else using a completely DIFFERENT set of criteria might rightly disagree. Besides, we're talking about a highly stylized production. It's like arguing who has more convincing humans, Family Guy or Simpons.
  23. yeah, it's way sleaker and it looks like yamato figured out the shoulder hide-away in fighter mode.
  24. sorry, but this is still subjective. in the end, different viewers will take away different things. Maybe person A is more concerned with character animation and textures and person B is more concerned with action seuqences and set pieces. Case in point, in the Justice League thread, Fatalist tore me a new one because I didn't like animation team behind Beowulf. Fair enough, to me, character animation trumps textures and model complexity but not everyone may think so, I'm sure a lot of people may find the realistic models and textures to be more important than motion capture/animation. In the end, who's right? Each viewer has a different set of criteria going in and each viewer will take away somthing different.
