  1. 1. vf-22s 2. vf-5000
  2. when Kensei gets his shelves made, we can have a battle royale of the super collections. Until then, I do have to say Sithlord's collection is very impressive.
  3. don't worry, he's not going to read it. he'll just skim it for somthing he can troll on about and post some other nonsense to keep this going. I'm sorry I got suckered into it in the first place.
  4. yeah, this is just way too long with little in the way of updates. Even an email every once in a while just letting me know what's going on would have been appreciated. As it is, I only found out it was supposedly in customs because I emailed him and asked. While I like the guy, I don't know that I'll do pre-orders with him anymore.
  5. dude... I'm still waiting for my pre-order for the 1st release. At this point, I'm expecting some sort of "sorry we made you wait 4 months" gesture with my order.
  6. I think that would be the best outcome from my point of view. Yamato continues making large scale transforming toys and bandai mines the other avenues. Frankly, if the large scale transforming toy licens were to leave yamato, I just hope that whoever gets it produces toys at least on par with what we have now. I really don't want to go back to the stumpy kiddified offerings that bandai gave us with the M7 license.
  7. I never would have gotten that impression from your replies. but okay, sorry for calling you a fanboy.
  8. that's okay, Mr. March knows what I'm talking about, so I have some solace there. T_T
  9. you've ignored yours for months? I still don't even have mine.
  10. it *was* a discussion on possible bandai macross frontier toys but a certain gundam fanboy can't let stop trolling his clown samurai fixation.
  11. dude, what's the point of a PG kit versus a MG kit? The internal frame, right? Where would the frame go in a valk? You keep talking about all this other crap when all I'm saying is that the space that's used in a PG kit for the imagined machincals of a gundam, would be used to stow-away parts on a valk. And really? Are you really saying that a 1/60th scale toy is an exact reproduction of what the insides of a real fighter is like? That's just sad dude.
  12. He was refering to YOUR statement: Your gross generalization that plane designs are too simple. He was pointing out that he has not seen Bandai produce a transforming plane design that looks anything like a plane.
  13. wow, looks great. I wish for purposes of photography the light blue and grey were a little more distinct but it still looks amazing. I love how clean it looks. Please post up some closer shots in sunlight if possible.
  14. isnt' the the direction starfleet was heading? Make one big ship as a flag ship but surround it with smaller and more efficient designs? Besides, starfleet also performed diplomatic and exploration duties right? Both missions would be better suited to a larger ship that could stay out for longer stretches and have more resources to handle situations alone.
  15. My point was, there's no space on a 1/48 or 1/60 scale valk for the internal frame to go... the frame that fills up all the hollow space on a gundam is used for stuff like landing gears, hands, feet, etc on a valk. For instance, on a gundam, the fore-arm can be filled up with little pistons and what not, on a valk, the fore-arm will house the hands in valk form. The legs on a gundam can be filled with little engines and pistons and rails and stuff, in a valk that same space holds the landing gears and the feet when they collapse in. As for the superiority of models... I don't want to paint. I don't want to spend hours sniping off little bits of plastic flashing. I don't want to spend hours snapping parts together. I don't want a plamodel who's torso or shoulders or bits of armor routinely pop off during handling. I don't want important parts of the body held together by four little pegs made of 1mm thick plastic nubs. I don't want joints to pull apart during handling because those same plastic nubs really aren't sufficient to hold the thing together. In the end, i think my yamato's are perfectly fine, even gorgeous representations of the line art. I'm perfectly happy with toys. And again, while I woudln't hate a PG valk, I'd rather they be an optional alternative to my toy rather than the only option out there.

    SV-51 CF!!!

Who are you going to believe, Kawamori (says Yamato) or your own lying eyes?
  17. agreed; curling up into fetal position and using your obscenely large shield to make up the rest of the body does not qualify as "transformation".
  18. meh. there's a lot of hollow, unused space on a gundam to fill with inards on a PG kit to make it cool. Not so much space on a valk as most of the internal space is going to be used for stuff like stowing the hands and landing gear, leaving space for the feet/thrusters to tuck into, that sort of stuff. While it would probably be cool for a valk to get the PG treatment, we'd have to see a damn BIG valk to do the movable frame type stuff. Anyways, I'd rather continue to have toys with more tampo printing than models.
  19. well, I'm hoping Bandai has been watching fans buy up the yamatos and seeing that we're willing to put up the cash and bring their A game to the table. After all, any yamato macross release costs as much as 90% of the PG kits and there's far less engineering and overhead with a valk.
  20. the other side of this, is that if bandai does release quality macross goods, yamato will have to up their game or maybe even lower their prices to compete.
  21. haha, before i got married and what not, my Dad used to give me all sorts of grief for all the toys I had/have. He would randomly ask me how old I was and when I would stop acting like a child. At the time, I was running a dept and assisting in the management of another department of a rather large e-retail store and working 12 hours a day minimum. But that's my parents for you, they care little for the big picture and get hung up on the little/trivial stuff.
  22. meh, M7 featured little electricty effects during transformation sequences... this is just a big fancy continuation of that.
  23. I've had my vf-1s fall a few feet with the fast packs on (in fighter mode)... uhm... twice... and nothing broken. I guess it's just luck of the draw.
  24. man, for a lurker, you learned NOTHING. Don't you know that the 1/48s are a gateway drug? Sure, it starts off fine, a 1/48 here and there.. hmm maybe some fast packs and a GBP armor set... just the canon stuff you tell yourself. I can quit whenever I want to, I just don't want to you'll say. Then you start thinking you need to complete the skull squadron and then you start looking at the stealth and think, hey, why not. and next thing you know, you'll be logged into EBAY 24/7 looking for a good deal on the low viz 1.0.
  25. I don't recall the episode, but sisko was on the design team after the borg invasion and the defiant project had a hard time stabilizing the ship due to the power output so they mothballed the project until the dominion war began.
