  1. Gotta agree with you, during normal transformation, no one should have a problem with this part, unless they're trying to force the back pack up higher than it should in battroid. With the packs, it can be tricky, but as long as you support the back pack so there's no lateral movement, you should be fine.
  2. WTF? Why do you think that Yamato had americans in mind when they came up with scheme?
  3. Okay, good to know. The suckiness of my current gear is probably a big factor in why I'm not loving my AR.
  4. Yeah, I guess... I'm still pretty early on into my soldier's campaign so I'm still using low level weapons, so who knows. I just think they're a pain with their low accuracy, fast rate of fire and their high heat generation. The sniper rifle is damn cool though.
  5. I played as a vanguard my first time through, and not having decent long range weapons gets you dead quite often early on. Eventually though, the pistol is so strong and accurate that the battles are almost funny. Most of the battles involved me casting Throw and shooting them while they were flying/on the ground or using the shotgun - I would melee them to the floor and shoot them while they tried to get up. Throw is a great ability, it's great for crowd control on the baddies that tend to rush you... throw them on the ground and throw a gernade on top of them for explosive fun. I'm playing again as a soldier, and honestly, not having as much fun. I agree that the AR seems too random and I miss my biotics.
  6. took me about 25-30 hours to complete the game, and that was with me doing every quest I could. Including wandering around on planets completing all those "collect XX" missions. Which I'm avoiding on my subsequent play throughs, until my "final" shepard.
  7. well, there's nothing much I can do about the charges. BoFA won't budge.. despite the fact I've banked with them my whole adult life. And MS just doesn't care. So I've changed my password MSN password and enabled the login key on Live. My account was paid for with a pre-paid card, so hopefully there's no other damage that can be done. i guess for any future marketplace purchases, I'll only purchase the minimum number of points possible and try not to keep a balance. In the meantime, I'm thinking of buy forza so I can play the track I "bought".
  8. nice, keep up the good fight for more yf-19 love. Let us know if there's anything helpfull we as a fan base can do to show our support for yf-19 repaints. And by helpfull, I mean actually helpfull... not our usual form of helpfull... which is usually less than...
  9. considering what you learn about them, I wonder if there's some sort of pay off on that quest either in ME2 or in the DLC.
  10. yeah, that's a good idea. I'd be much more interested in a book like that, the more information/exclusives they can offer. Maybe it's because I already own so many of them, I'm just not that interested in a book. Unlike transformers which has SO many different and unique bots that I know I'll never own.
  11. you're still missing one, there should be another you scan.
  12. I don't know... would have to have some really GREAT photos to be able to match some of the contributions we get from board members here. Though, if it were full of CAD, resin and PROTOTYPE pictures, that would make it tempting for me.
  13. damn you. at first I was all, "yeah, bring on the naboo fighters! Long tails off of engines for no reason rules!" but then I realized you were just mocking us.
  14. So, MS really sucks. Apparantly, someone has been using my MS points to buy themselves crap and I just noticed. So I called them up and their customer support people say that they won't help me at all. the best they can do is close my account, but since my account was paid for with a pre-paid card, which is non refundable, I basically have to pay MS another 50 bucks to re-open my account. The MS CSR supervisor helpfully suggested that I dispute the charges with my bank (BOFA) which they refuse to do, saying I need to dispute the charges with MS. Now, the amount in question is only 25 bucks, which isn't a lot of money, but it pisses me off that this type of fraud is common on Live and neither Microsoft nor my bank will help on this. And now that I know my account is hacked, I'm not likely to put any more money on the account.
  15. this is going to piss off the new guy who's MF thread just got closed...
  16. Again, it was a joke. And if you could read between the lines, it was a joke aimed not at you, but at DnD, to not get worked up about off topic posts. Seriously, are you having a bad day or something?
  17. huh! I missed that completely then. Oh well, something to do in my current game then. side note, playing renegade is rough, you say some really mean stuff to people. But it is fun to intimidate people instead of being nice nice all the time.
  18. it's loosely a "should" and it's not relevent to the topic, is it? Which was the point of my post, which was a joking response to someone not YOU, so no need to get upset about it.
  19. and you've been around long enough to know that eventually every toy thread will eventually become derailed by rampant battying about something yamato did or didn't do, should or should not do.
  20. yeah, I know. I was thinking that maybe the thing could have some impact on that plot arc. I'll have to remember to try failing next time I play to see what happens.
  21. thats an interesting read. I have to say, ine thing that bugs me about anime DVDs are their prices. I can buy a homegrown show like avatar for 12 bucks a disc, but an equivalent japanese disc costs almost 2x as much. Frankly, I have friends who work in the localization industry... friends who have worked on HUGE shows that yu would all know and I can safely say they don't get paid enough to justify an 80% price difference. Frankly, I think japanese publishers need to realize that in order to sell their products overseas, they'll need to price it accordingly.
  22. ah, no... I was talking about the: but according to david, both end in end of game...
  23. ah, i didn't realize the 360 couldn't use the HD-DVD drive for games. that's kinda sad. Well, here's hoping that ME2 uses more discs then. hmm, that's sad to hear. I was hoping there was another way around that quest using some of the other involved NPCs. It's annoying then that some of the side quests have multiple approaches and then the main quests are locked in.
  24. haha, that's an awesome story.
  25. Yeah, honestly it bugs me as well. What's odd is that in the beginning of the game, there's at least one quest that is timed. Don't do it in time and it WILL affect your story (not just end it). And then that all that gets dropped as you progress further in the game. edit:: actually, nvm. I don't know what happens if you don't complete it on time. I assumed there's other ways to carry on, but maybe the game just ends. I've never not completed the task in time. I'm wondering if stuff like this, had to be dropped due to the DVD restriction? Apparantly, ME maxes out the DVD's capactiy limiting dialogue and side quests. If ME2 required an HD-DVD drive or HDD usage, would people not buy it? For me, if an HD-DVD meant more dialogue, more variety of locations (30 fractal generated maps with the odd "colony' here and there is < 7-9 really well developed worlds), I'd be all for it. Hell, put it on 2 or more discs and load up the HDD with stuff like textures. that would solve half the griping about load times and give us more of what we want.
