  1. That's a great looking bird! I know what you mean about the shoulders though. I haven't touched my vf-0s since I replaced the shoulders but I transformed 1 just for kicks the other night... after transforming the 1/48 vf-1, the vf-0 just seems much more finicky...
  2. I want as well, but I'll wait for the reviews. I wasn't particularly impressed with the build quality on the BGC figures a while back.
  3. I can honestly say the worst injury I've had on job is a .5 inch aluminum splinter in my finger.
  4. knowledge is a double edged sword, if you don't know what it is, don't find out because once you learn to spot em and the other myraid visual flaws in digital media, you'll never stop spotting them.
  5. The vf-0 gunpod markings are tampo printed that way, one side is upside down for fightermode and the other, upside down for battroid mode.
  6. nice! new aliens, an actual storyline? Awesome. and look at that price! That's looking pretty darn good for 400 points!
  7. Fun things to do at 5 am, take pictures of your toys:
  8. heehee, notice what group he's not part of? Us poor folk need to stick together!
  9. or bandai will take this oppertunity to destroy the macross franchise for another 20 years just so they can churn out more gundam shows.
  10. Ah, Bandai, uniting toy and model enthusiasts in disappointment.
  11. they look good. I'm just sad cuz I'm not a model guy.
  12. This movie would have to be complete crap... like good luck chuck, crap... in order to be worse than the last couple of films connery did before he retired.
  13. If they did, they weren't as bad as the VF-0a, the two that I own had nice, sturdy bicep swivels and shattered shoulders while the 0a had problems with both shoulder and biceps. The ancedotal evidence seems to supports the rubber/abs chemical reaction theory that Graham passed along to us from Yamato.
  14. not quite... it was anywhere the plastic touched the rubber friction pads. So the vf-0s had shoulder problems, they would shatter and the vf-0a had bum shoulders and bad bicep swivels, both areas would eventually become brittle and break. Basically, the rubber they used and the formula of ABS had some sort of chemical interaction that left the ABS brittle.
  15. VF-0 arms. You had to buy them from HLJ.
  16. true, my SOC eva came out of the box with paint chips and my takara MP Convoy and SS both had significant flubs. The convoy had paint spills and some of the diecast is bent and the SS had a bent tailfin complete with stress mark.
  17. I agree. I appreciate that some people were able to move on, but for me, the VF-0 shoulder debacle was completely unacceptable... especially since the deadly combination of poor materials and bad design was already experienced with the Garland. IMO, the QC guy should have been fired after the the original 1/72 yf-19. It should NEVER have gotten to this point. And the fact that Yamato made MONEY off of the replacement arms? That's borders on criminal.
  18. that sundowner's is glorious!
  19. says the person with like a bazillion minmays (see what I did there?)
  20. sorry to be a nerd about this, but the mecha is called the Nirvash, eureka is the name of the girl.
  21. so, I decided I'm not brave enough to start filing away at the body but I did do that hip mod. Works like a charm, legs sit flush in fighter mode. I love it!
  22. the only issues still present: there are still gaps in fighter mode, the fuselage has a bump and the shoulders still don't sit flush. There are some mods out there that can resolve those issues. I find them annoying but not deal breakers, at least for me.
  23. so, gin or vodka?
  24. yeah, the gapiness of the yf-19 has always bugged me, this is awesome. I need to go and get some files and get to work on mine.
  25. holy crap! Thank you SO MUCH for this!
