    that doesn't make sense to me. if the toy is barely profitable, increasing the run and widening the market can only help. It's not like the tampo printing or the weathering is being applied by hand... the machinery has been bought and incorporated already. I know this is of some debate, but the overseas market has got to be a sizable fraction of the pie and just ignoring us (or snubing us depending on your level of fanboyism) just doesn't make economic sense.

    ah, cool, I've been waiting for some reviews on Lost Odyssey... sounds promising but some of the critic reviews I've read leave me feeling kinda meh.

    ah, I only meant in terms of being accurate to the line art. The yf-19 is an engineering feat to be sure, but there are some noticable compromises, like the gullet and the way the legs and the wing roots meet and consequently the way the FAST packs need to be attached. The yf-21 appears much closer to the way the anime looked and doesn't seem to have as many design changes.

    these guys are just trying to capitalize on fans before people figure out ways to get around the "japan exclusive" thing... but whatever, if they want to make a quick buck, then yay for them.

    I think that free standing battroid is a mockup, the shots of the one in box doesn't seem to be as heavily weathered and it's missing those heavy streaks coming off the canopy as well. I say we start dummy ebay accounts and jack up the auctions. bid massively high and then just not pay. make them repost.

    yeah, I'm glad that they're packing the features in on this one... and who knows, with bandai in the macross game, maybe yamato will bring their prices down.

    I wonder if his comments on sony japan missing the boat on social gaming had anything to do with this... Phil's been pretty vocal about his thoughts on why PS3 wasn't doing as well as expect of late.

    can't say I like either... I'm with graham in that I don't care for the revoltech material but I also agree with Mr. March in that the relative limited articulation and giant fraking seam lines in the GNU line make them unattractive.

    what??? boring compass got best effects? That's just complete bullshit. The effects in that movie didn't even begin to approach pirates or transformers.

    as far as fighter mode goes, the yf-21 blows the yf-19 clean out of the water. I think it actually gives the vf-0 a run for its money in terms of anime accuracy.

    the one in that flyer? Looks like shots of the GNU line to me. Completely loving that gloss finish on the yf-21.

    I think the opening sequence was just a rather forced attempt to show that sari and bulkhead are friends. I notice that a bunch of shows will use the first season to hammer home important relationships or plot points.
