while I'm not keen on the federation as they seem to follow a rather typical wilsonian philosophy (prime directive or no). While the federation talks a good game, to me, it just seems like a bunch of humans pushing their view points on other worlds and cultures. However, I can't say I'm fond of the romulans or the klingons either. Those two present rather strawman representations of nationalism and militarism. IMO, this is one of the things that makes the ST universe unappealing, political ideologies are just too simplified and there's an un-natural delineation when it comes to militaristic versus pacifist thinking.

I can't believe people are still having this debate. I thought the whole monster cable debate had been settled years ago?

some of the ebay auctions had them listed as WF exclusives. So if you're a hardcore fan or speculating, then it could/would be worth it. That's why I hope that there's some sort of change done for the eventual yamato store release, to preserve the value for the buyers who bought it now. If I didn't think it was going to be released to the "general" public later on, I think I might have been tempted to put down that kind of money. Especially a couple of years ago. Now... not so much, not only am I kinda burned out on the VF-1 but with the 1/60 looming, I just don't think I want to have that many dupes of the design.

yeah, I'm kinda concerned as to how well that weathering will hold up. It probably won't matter for me though, if I get one, it will probably stay in fighter mode.

liked it. I wish they would drop the highschool stuff though, personally, I feel like it drags the show down. The FBI raid set to Johnny Cash was pretty good and the look between kestor and Elison... I have no clue where they're going with it but it makes me hope for a 2nd season.
