I've been running vista ultimate edition since it came out and I'll say this for Vista, the search engine kicks ass. If you take the time to add meta tags to your files, the search functionality is very powerful and useful and the fact that the meta tags are written to the file itself, means you can transfer files around and still retain them. Other than that though, I really haven't seen much benefit to Vista over XP. It's slower, it needs more system resources, it's still buggy, and if you're running older hardware, especially laptops, driver support just sucks.

the trailer makes the new hulk movie look like a piece of crap sci-fi movie of the week. I'll probably still watch it because of norton, when it comes out on DVD... The nod to the Ultimates was pretty cool to see though. I didn't think Norton actually wrote it, he was just involved in re-writes and was supposed to have some say in editing. Though, the current rumor is that he and marvel are at loggerheads at how much control/influence he's really going to have.

for laptops, I would say go mac. I prefer windows on desktops though, mostly for gaming. But since I've made the jump to consoles (I got tired of the endless upgrades), I'll probably go Mac as well. Though, for content streaming to my 360/PS3, I'll probably keep a windows box of some sort.

I did some reading on the two versions and apparantly the bigger issue would be, discovery =1080i encode, BBC = 1080p encode. Apparantly there are some issues with the blacks in the discovery version.

Well, if it happens, please keep in mind that it won't be through wholesale. So I would be paying full retailing, shipping from japan and then shipping again to whoever. So, very limited number of units, I would need payment upfront and the prices are likely to be high but high due to shipping costs. I'm not interested in trying to make money off of this, but I do expect to break even for every unit (other than mine) which I bring in. I don't think the Andy thing is a paradox at all. I think the way that time works in the Terminator universe is that everytime someone/thing goes back in time, a new timeline is created. So the events in the original future continue on, but the people/thing from the original future are now stuck in timeline B. This is supported in show, each time someone new comes to the conners, they ask him/her the new "how" of Skynet.

there's a lot of wierd people out there. I was at the movie theater and there was a family who in lock step, were shuffling down the hall, stopping by each poster and commenting on it. Only, they were mumbling and scratching themselves the entire time. I'm sure there are some people out there who would jump with joy if some well built, good looking guy paid them some attention, even if they were a bit socially retarded.
