I gotta say I agree with your theory... more so considering the new ads, which declare Baltar the "redeemed". -

thanks for the quick review. Now I can stop downloading... -
I have a system, I take every overplayed plot and plot twist and toss them up in the air. Then my 2year old son runs and grabs a handful and brings them to me. Whatever he brings me, I write my story around it. It's BRILLIANT!

this just practically plots itself! Season 2 ends with Mr Roger discovering/realizing that his very first victim was in fact his own child! His tenuous grip on reality starts to fracture as the personalities of his victims, previously content on just wreaking havoc in his fantasy construct, now begin to speak to Mr Roger when he retreats into the Land of Make Believe. Accusing him, tormenting him. Season 3: Ex Stripper GF sees how Mr. Roger is becoming increasingly withdrawn and decides to do something about it, not realizing the horrible truth. She throws a birthday party for Mr Roger and invites all their old high school friends. At the party, an inquistive friend discovers Mr. Rogers chamber of horrors but doesn't understand what he's seeing and thinks that Mr. Roger is a budding artist. Mr Roger though, upon seeing the parents of the children he's been murdering, slips further and further into his own fractured psyche. Meanwhile, Jaded Detective has decided that despite his friendship with Mr. Roger, there's too much suspicion to ignore and serves a search warrant on Mr. Rogers home. But in a case of cosmic timing, Inquistive friend has already sold the Arts and Crafts of Death to a local art dealer who has cleaned them of any evidence. The strain of the raid, meeting the parents and the psychic harrasement of his murdered victims finally cracks Mr Roger wide open and now the personalities of the children begin to manifest in his waking mind.

So would you be upset if in season 2.... ends up one of the kids Mr Roger killed was his own son!!! DUN DUN DUN! His ex GF got pregnant before he left for kuwait but didn't tell him and instead broke it off with him and secretly gave birth and gave the child up for adoption. Unknown to both of them, the child was adopted by a couple in Mr Roger's hometown. Years later, the mother, seeking closure used the money she had saved stripping (but she was a kind hearted stripper), to bribe the adoption agency to find out where her son was. Heartbroken to learn that her son was murdered, she returns home to find answers, but insteads re-unites with Mr Roger in her grief! Will she find out his dark secrets and will she tell him that she's pregnant with his child again???

At the beginning, the land of make believe should be beautiful and pure. This is Mr. Roger's retreat, where his sanity and his goodness has retreated to in the face of the horrors of war. But when Mr Roger kills his first brat, his subconscious takes the personality of the slain child and incorporates it into the Land of Make-Believe. Eventually, the fairy tale kingdom becomes corrupted and evil as the souls of more and more victims comes to reside there. Concurrently, as the brats are picked off, Mr Roger's REAL neighborhood gets better and better. Clouds clear up, the sun comes out. Neighbors start repainting their homes and taking care of their lawns. The few good kids slowly start coming out and playing ball and flying kites, that sort of thing. And instead of the friendly postman, there's a jaded detective investigating the murders of the kids. The detective was a high school friend of Mr Roger before the war. At first, he confides in Mr. Roger, but then he begins to suspect the truth... but he's torn because he sees the positive changes that the murders are having. Will the jaded detective do his civic duty, or will he allow his childhood friend to continue on his mission???

High Definition Media & Technology Thread

I'm purple, I don't care. I'm merely responding to people who think/thought that the end of the format war would result in lower prices. BTW, there's a bunch of other articles on various sites all saying the same thing. So maybe you want to dismiss the yahoo article because of the author, but there are ones on gizmodo, about, tg daily, etc that all show, in tables and graphs no less, that blu-ray player prices are up... even from the beginning of this year. -

and a big I TOLD YOU SO to all those people who said blu-ray prices would come down now that the format war is over. -
Mr. Rogers should get the "dark and gritty" make over. Now he's a vetran of the first gulf war, suffering from PTSD which causes him to hallucinate a medieval fantasy castle which he retreats to. In the real world he constantly struggles against his desire to kill young children (who he saw plant a roadside bomb which blew up his humvee). Eventually he gives into his baser desires but he justifies his murders by only murdering kids that misbehave. He lures them to his with the promise of elaborate arts and crafts which are secretly convoluted torture devices.

And I hate to be a nerdy fanboy nitpicker but Bionic Woman is also not a "remake" in the same way that Battlestar Galactica is.

hell yes! Bring back manimal! And street hawk. that show rawk'd!

soooo... I'm going to hijack this thread... why was the april 1st vf-11 joke thread closed but none of the other april 1st threads also closed??? I smell a conspiracy!

relax guys. It is inevitable, since yamato didn't get the MF license, it's a sure thing they'll be mining what licenses they do have.

1/60 perfect transforming vf-1 from yamato?

yeah, I noticed it looked kinda off as well. The chest stripes look wierd as well. -
I've read all the new books including the prequels... I look at them as good fan fiction. The prequels don't match up with what we know in Dune in a few ways and I really didn't like the direction the sequels took.

he actually did try for me, it turns out. He called me a little while ago with the bad news. Sold out. He didn't believe me when I told him there would be a lot of demand for this. As I said earlier, he's not an anime guy.
-
I don't think I'm getting one. I got a classic evasive answer from my friend which I used my japanese to english translator to mean: no, I can't believe you even asked. good luck to all who are in the hunt still!

Kim Stanley Robinson the Three Californias, a series of books exploring possible near futures of california. They're great reads and Kim explores the human condition and how it's impacted by the world (social and economic and environment). His other books are fantastic as well, the Mars trilogy and the more recent series on global climate change. His characters tend to be very similar from book to book though.

I'd go hear Barack speak. Whether you agree with his politics or not, he's an incredible speaker and he is thought provoking. And the atmosphere and and energy of the crowd would have to be pretty incredible. BSG on tivo will be just as good as if it were live. Better in that there wouldn't be the commercials to slog through. -
...and I will name it george and hug him and pet him and squeeze him!
