So, I noticed something kind of odd. I'm streaming mp3s to my PS3 and some of the album art is showing up and sometimes it's not... sometimes half the songs in an album will display with the art and the rest will show the default icon... any ideas as to why this is happening? edit: albums were originally ripped with wmp 11

haven't tried off a DVD, just a USB memory stick. The 360 sees and plays them just fine but the PS3 won't see them, I need to do: trianle, see all to see the files and then it will play them. I've only tried the aia iz macross frontier files and they play fine, subtitles included.

That's a fantastic scheme and I agree, it look so much nicer than what yamato actually put out.

So... my 360 and PS3 can both read .mp4 files if they're off of a memory card, but they won't stream it from my NAS... wtf?

argh... so my samsung ln-t4665f started developing these pixel wide spikes on the right hand side of the screen. Samsung replaced the whole LCD panel, but a few minutes after the tech left, a brown line, 2 pixels wide, ran from the top of the screen down to the bottom... right down the center of the TV. freaking hell, this is even more annoying than the original problem.

I use deftech 1000s and I love them. If you have a best buy/magnolia around you they should have some in their demo room to try out.

Good. I didn't think it was the best show but by the end of season 1 it was definitely getting better, imo and I'll be there to find out what happens to River.

So I finally got around to finishing season 1 of gundam 00. I have to admit it got better past the middle of the season. One thing that bugs me though is about the Setsuma character and his guerrilla/terrorist background. I felt that having him "brainwashed" by Ali al saachez was a bit of a cop out. I would felt more strongly for his redemption story arc if he had been a willing even eager child solider. It certainly would not have been the first time neighbors willingly turned on each other when the political situation changed.

Hey, question on running linux on the PS3, have you tried playing back media files and if so, how's the performance? I ask because my NAS does not suspport streaming media ( 1st gen terastation) and while I could hack the terastation box to install a proper OS to allow for media streaming, it's just easier to install yellowdog and use mplayer... but I won't bother if the image/performace isn't up to par.

the feet changes alone would make a pretty big change in fighter mode... ,As it is, the feet are exposed and flush with the beavertail. If they were longer they would stick out past the beaver tail. Widening the calf bells would mean the body of the fighter mode would have to be wider as well. there's not a hole lot of room from the pics we've seen of the under carriage.

meh. We have two robot shows that feature bots that turn into vehicles (transformers and to a lesser extent Gundam). Macross is the only show (afaik) where we have planes that turn into robots. For me, the emphasis should/has to be on making a believable fighter mode ... otherwise, it's transformer.
