  1. oh, that's a great paint scheme. I think I would actually break my promise and get another VF-0 if yamato did that, or a similar, scheme.
  2. Stane did say that Iron monger was more advanced than the Mk III, so maybe it had easier controls more AI control over the motions of the suit where the MK III seemed far more reliant on Stark's active involvement.
  3. yup. Most people are dominant one hemisphere or another, but some people aren't. Women in particular are more likely to use both halves of their brain. Some people think this is due to a larger corpus callosum.
  4. heh, awesome. I usually see it as clockwise but after I read something for a little bit, it looks counter clockwise.
  5. I really liked it. I thought it was one of the better comic book movies out there and I can't wait for iron man 2 to come out.
  6. I would really disagree with that assessment. In the scene where the lobster gets stabbed, sure there's lots of blood but it only gushes for a second or two, hardly enough time to bleed out and the other scene where alto goes back to the battle scene and throws up, there's an aerial shot of the area and no giant pool of blood and in the following scene where they're packing up the body there's a shot of the ground and still no blood. I don't think the lobster bled out at all. As for the mikhail sniper shot, the head exploded and fell off. You can see where the shot burned a hole in the head, but the head itself was torn away from the body. The neck cavity shouldn't have been cauterized by that shot. No, I think the lobsters are like bugs... heads are useful but not exactly necessary for life.
  7. wow, the yf-19 is sucktastic. The only one i could see myself buying is the vf-11. The other two just don't do anything for me. If I were to buy a non transforming valk, these would not be the ones I got.
  8. or, rather than a bacta tank, episode 3 already showed that the lobsters don't need their heads so why would a knife to the throat permanently stop one?
  9. I don't get all the focusing on the legs and saying that yamato didn't compromise in favor of battroid. Look at all the other compromises on the dstance, the wonky and line art incorrect cowl for instance. Or the long ass monkey arms. There's so many things wrong with the d-stance, why no nitpicking of all the compromises on that design and the slavish devotion to the legs?
  10. what's the point of a blu-ray 360? MS is not going to release games on blu-ray and why would ms pay licensing fees to Sony? I'll believe it when I see it.
  11. doomsday is a horrible idea. He's not even a character, he's a walking deus ex machina, and having Clark fight him only detracts from the Death of Superman comic, imo.
  12. Yup, as much as I appreciate Yamato for taking Macross toys to the next level, they're ability to half ass it is really phenomenal.
  13. I'm loving it. When I saw those big stocking clad legs, I just about fell over laughing.
  14. anyone else having playback issues with zero-raw 720p release? I get stuttering now and then, not having the same issue with any of their other files.
  15. man, the little shell casings litering the street under max is just tops! I love it, even if it has a most hated and reviled MPC "veritech".
  16. So you were the one! I have two (non ghost booster) and they both have problems... cracked shoulders on both, three feet that won't lock out, 2 gunpods that won't fit on the fore arms, 2 back packs that fall down at the slightest breeze. I've re-bought the arms from HLJ so that was fixed and I took one leg apart and did some epoxying and now I have one almost perfect VF-0s. All in all, I love the design of the toy but it ranks down there with the konig in terms of how much I enjoy handling/playing with.
  17. takatoys: you got a pm.
  18. ah, that sucks man. I would have waved you off of that VF-0. the design is fundamentally flawed imo.
  19. Nice, reminds me of the vf-5000's fast pack.
  20. certainly the last couple episodes of evangelion had to have owed a little something to Albert Hofman.
  21. Even more than 2 seater vf-1s, I want my VF-5000. I think other than the vf-25, the vf-5000 is my most wanted remaining valk design.
  22. I don't think it's possible that bandai would release a DX line vf-25 with permanently attached packs. the internets would explode with people yelling that bandai got pwned by yamato and such a thing would be terribly embarrasing.
  23. well, university was pretty expensive...
  24. I like how you keep trying to spin this. What was my point? Was my point that HD-DVDs were better or cheaper? Or that toshiba was smart or that microsoft is... whatever of the myriad red herrings you like to throw around? No. My point was and is, that all the people who said that with the demise of HD-DVD that blu-ray prices would magically come down were and are wrong and that players and now the media itself are creeping up in price. oh, and BTW, both blu-ray and hd-dvd had 39.99 MSRPs depending on what title you were/are looking at... so those "higher prices" worked out just as well as the "higher prices" on blu-ray discs, because I only bought and continue to only buy when there's a sale.
  25. let us combine the "alto should accidentally kill someone in SMS due to his hot headedness" with the "Ozma will die in "friendly fire" theories and come up with: Alto will kill Ozma due to his hot headedness!
