well, please show us an example of a fugly prototype DX that turned into a swan. I just don't get why the prototype would have such off proportions. It's not like the Macross Plus valks where they needed to translate line art with heaping doses of anime magic into a 3D form. If anything, Macross Zero has shown us that a lego design, CAD refined design can be turned into a very accurate toy.

so you're agreeing that bandai today is where yamato was 8 years ago? When they were making models and mock ups to figure out the design and not CAD? That's depressing to think that Bandai with CAD is worse than Yamato with clay.
