    VF-OS or VF-0A

they cost 15 dollars for one arm, you need to specify left and right and for which model. But the good news is you get the whole arm and not just the shoulder.
  5. "Holy crap, the thruster split in half! Abort the launch, aborth the launch!"
  6. nice, thanks for taking the time to do this!

the nora and the CF are supposed to be equally good and free from design problems.

    VF-OS or VF-0A

This is where we bring up the wish that yamato would seal their boxes... but sorry, there's no way of telling at a glance which version it is.

    VF-OS or VF-0A

yes and no. The VF-0a CF runs the risk of breaking at the shoulder and at the elbow end of the bicep swivel. The vf-0s runs the risk of breaking at the shoulder, but has a host of other problems: feet that don't lock down in battroid backpack that doesn't stay up gunpod that won't fit arm mounts loose thigh swivels
  11. but none of those tracks are exactly the same. Most of the time there's only similarities but nothing that's even as close as the infamous vanilla ice/david bowie lawsuit. Besides, if you listen to entire track she deviates from the source material
  12. like usual, you're being melodramatic honestly, I don't get the hate. The only thing I can imagine is that people though yoko kanno was some sort of uber genius who can churn out CD after CD of varied music ranging from jazz, experimental, classical, drum and bass, electronica, blue grass, folk (western and japanese)... am I missing anything? Again.. i really don't see her doing anything that different from other composers. I agree it would be nice if she cited sources that she/they draw from.
  13. Definitely true. It's one thing to listen to lossless at home but when I'm walking around downtown or driving, lossless just doesn't matter.
  14. meh, any decent speaker/headphones are all you need to tell the difference between compressed and lossless. I agree the 100% difference claim is a bit exaggerated though.
  15. meh, some of those 'copies' are really stretching... and some of the 'origin' pieces I've heard before... some of it is very similar, like the tom waits stuff. I wonder though, given how incestuous western music is... again, please see hans zimmer, john williams, all rap stars, nearly all metal, nearly all R&B, pop, trance, drum and bass... I wonder how much of this is driven by good old fashion jealousy?

the vf-0a CF also has a problem with the bicep swivel breaking, just replacing the upper arm may not be enough. The only 100% safe bet is either the vf-0s w/ghost or the reissue vf-0s. The shin vf-0a w/ghost looks like a few got out the door without the fixes.
  17. well, that's the big lie about art... there's no such thing as an original idea... everything is borrowed from somebody. Bo Diddley took his beat from native american drumbeats, but music fans rave about how 'original' his brand of rock was/is. John Williams owes much of his career to Wagner and Holst, and Tarantino has been ripping off hong kong movies for all of his career.
  18. I doubt it, the arrangements are similar but yoko uses them as starting off points and the actual music is pretty different.
  19. well, let's not forget that escaflowne borrows rather heavily from carl orff's arrangement of O fortuna. yoko kanno has been borrowing for years... but then, hey, hans zimmer has been ripping off hans zimmer for his entire career And where would Johnny be without Wagner?
  20. lol, love the michael jackson pose. Quick, somebody do a stop motion of Thriller!
  21. nope, the konig has a little bit of metal on the rear facing 'toes'.
  22. Yeah, there's a definite Pirates homage worked in there. But it wouldn't be the first time Yoko has worked in other well known themes into her own work. Macross Plus had a bit as well.
  23. What an ingenious way to get us to buy mulitples/repaints.
  24. I finally got around to watching this on BD... and yeah, to people who think Stallone exaggerated the situatin in Burma... sorry, you guys have no idea what you're talking about. I thought it was pretty good overall and I definitely liked it more than the last Rambo movie and I liked that the violence wasn't stylized or kiddified.
