I think you're right. Macross has had a strong 'redemption' theme since the beginning and brera doesn't seem bad, just misguided.... he's the perfect candidate to pull a guld.

No, I agree with that. It's not unreasonable to ask yamato for them. But i don't need to take the intake covers off to transform it and I usually don't... so again, I don't care either way. It's just not as big of a deal to me as the latch on the back of the back pack or the fact that now the chest piece is shaped wrong (the indent where the head sits should be much deeper).

yup, can't say I care either way. I generally don't like fiddling with extra parts but on the other hand, they do like nice when put in.

Nice PS job, i think your version looks a lot better! It's not that the cod piece is too big or low, but that the hips are at the wrong spot. They should be around the middle and not at the top of the area.

It was okay... Peter Berg doesn't really handle the fight choreography very well so the action sequences just never gelled. The music was underwhelming... it kinda strove for a Superman-ish feel but like the action, never quite gets there. The visual effects are okay as well. Nothing offensive but never really great. All the principle actos have good chemistry and Will Smith is pretty hilarious. So... yeah. As an action movie, it's kinda 'meh' but it works okay as an action comedy and it certainly works better than that Luke Wilson/Uma Thurmon superhero-action-comedy.

Saw the trailer tonight in front of Hancock. Looked okay, but something felt off, like it wasn't very cohesive, like maybe the people making it didn't really know what they wanted out of it.

yeah, it completely makes sense. the SDF-1 suffered some pretty massive damage. Why would they rebuild half of it using essentially "one-off" parts when they could just get the Factory to churn out enough parts to build a few more?
