  1. Well... that makes sense. I would try using the canned air. You can force the air to exit out the exhausts by taping the other inlets closed and rigging the nozel on the canned air to blow through the smallest opening possible, this should give you some pretty good pressure to blow out any dust bunnies that may have accumulated on the heat sinks. BTW, did your unit do this when you first bought it, or just recently?
  2. I have a 40 gig PS3, never had my fans go past stage 1... I watch blu-rays all the time, i also use it as my DVD player (upscaling) and I play MGS4.. no problems. My PS3 sits on top of my cable box (which is usually left on) and they're both inside a little cubby in my TV stand. Have you tried using canned air and just forcing air through the front vents? There's a way to force the PS3 to turn the fans on full blast but I think sony came out and said not to do that.
  3. ugh, don't bring up sabertooth, he's even more messed up then wolverine, and the worst part about him, is a lot of his power ups and power downs aren't even explained. HE just shows up and has super strength in one issue and then next time he shows up, he doesn't. Same with the metal. I really wish that marvel just ends the main continuity and just concentrates on the ultimate universe. Wolverine, Spiderman, Captain America, the Hulk... Thor... all the main heroes are so completely messed up and their stories so convoluted, it's just time to clean up the mess and move on.
  4. Wow! Well then, my hat is off to ron5864, that's excellent work. MacrossMan, you gotta get one of those thunderhammer sets... that industrial/utilitarian look of the armor would work spectacularl well with the hanger set, I bet.
  5. well, my remark was meant to be more of an underhanded swipe at America's fascination with "race issues" where "race" is just a euphamism for "black" all the while ignorning the very real issues that confront all the other people in the world.
  6. Well, i just have that fear because a lot of the decisions you make as Shepard have big implications.. stuff like whether the bugs live or die and setting up the political climate of the galaxy... that stuff doesn't seem like you really need to have Shepard in the next game (or make shepard the player) in order to capitalize on them. I hope my fears are unfounded and we get to play Shepard as is and not some reset version in the next game.
  7. Those diorama pics are pretty sweet MacrossMan! I was admiring them in that other thread. I love the soda machine and the little warning signs you have up the walls. Gives it that "lived in" feel.
  8. I really hope they don't go with a reset and just make it so the baddies are tougher or new powers/skills. And I REALLY hope they don't go the route of making Shepard into a General O'Neil type character and just have him/her pop in every now and then to give exposition and the player play some new character...
  9. Well, I was refering more to C&C: Generals where the chinese gameplay relied on unsophisticated "zerg rush" gameplay. And certainly the new Japanese side in RA relies rather heavily on fanboy stereotypes of what is Japanese.
  10. how old is your 360? I wonder if the hardware revision has anything to do with it? I rarely had terrain issues and texture popup doesn't really start happening (once or twice when I first start the game) until after I've played for 2~3 hours at a time or until I've visited a few worlds.
  11. well, they're talking about another movie in time for the end of the world in 2012, which figured in the show as well. I say bring it on, make it deep enough for the hardcore fans to really sink their teeth into it.
  12. They get away with it because they've only made fun of "white" people and asians. It would be an entirely different matter if they made fun of a "real" race.
  13. yes, the yamato vf-0 isn't slavishly accurate either, the animation does have swing bars, not unsimilar to the old chunky monkey toys. The part of the yamato that unfolds to allow the head to come free, that's the part that swings the legs down in the anime.
  14. ugh. I was okay when EA was just going to be the money behind bioware, but if they're making creative decisions...
  15. figures, they take the ugliest, most utilitarian part of the design and decide to be slavishly accurate to just that part.
  16. so... anyone else watching episode 17?
  17. well, soon you can do that, problem solved.
  18. texture pop up isn't an engine issue, it's a hardware issue, 360 can't flush it's memory. And just go make yourself a sandwhich while waiting for the elevator
  19. well, my son likes it. He played with it a little (in fighter mode) and wooshing sounds and declared, "airplane! awesome! cool!"
  20. MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. that's it, EXO wins. discussion over.
  21. got mine, good shape. happy.
  22. meh, would be nice to see them, or at least find out what happened to them, but I feel like flashback 2012 was a great send off for them. It confirmed and mended their relationships and ended the series with a bright hope for the future, what more could you want?
  23. yeah, that blouse was drool inducing.
  24. Well, considering we don't have anything even remotely similar to airplanes that can crash through bridges intact, let alone transform into bipedal war machines, I think we can safely say that if we can figure stuff out with just our puny human technology, overtechnology would make smaller more powerful laser possible. And again... what is harder, predicting where a target WILL BE, or shooting where the target is INSTANTANEOUSLY? If a target is dodging around in your line of sight, and you're trying to either predict where he will be, or chasing him around with your targeting recticle... do you think that takes more time, or less time then if you hit fire button whenever the target is in front of you, knowing that the millisecond you hit that trigger, a fiery hot beam of death is going to hit the target? Or... let's play a game of laser tag, only I get the laser gun and you get a nerf gun. I bet I can hit you more often then you can hit me.
  25. nope, I didn't assume the worst at all. I didn't even take a side, I just posted what I felt being "ripped off" means. I posted that if someone knowingly buys something for a certain price and gets what they expected, they weren't ripped off. You were the one who came back and posted: So in fact, you were the one who steered the conversation to sellers and overcharging, not me. You then continue and make fun of people who aren't psychic and can't tell when you're joking or just amusing yourself. So perhaps you need to deal with your issues of feeling unjustly persecuted. If I say, "if the buy gets what he expected at the price agreed upon, he wasn't ripped off" and you come back and say "but you paid too much and were ripped off because I got a better deal" then who is doing the "ripping off"? The seller, obviously. Therefore, it's perfectly justified for the reader, me, to assume that you're saying that sellers are ripping off their customers, which I disagree with and thus, that's how I replied back. Again, the onus is on you, the writer, to make it clear to the reader what you are really trying to say. This isn't deconstructive poetry, we shouldn't need to sit down and try to parse out the true meaning of your posts. And I am having a nice day, found my lost car keys and I got my ver. 2 1/60 in the mail today... and while I may not be in love with it, is certainly lots of fun.
