Hang on! I thought that (insert persons name) was dead!

oh, well then, undead it is. -
The tivo service is supposed to be limited to overseas markets, the US is not getting it. Too many incompatible TV services, apparantly, is the reason we're not getting it.

most likely he's doing the drawing in Illustrator, which is moving anchor points around to create shapes. You don't really need tremendous mouse control for that. I love the way Polidread is starting to mix the stroke width to mimmick the look and feel of inking, gives a real good sense of depth and dimension.

Well, until I see him stumbling around and eating brains, I'll have to hold off on "undead" -
I picked up Transformers at Target (it was on sale!) and the load time is definitely faster than the HD-DVD on the 360. sound is noticably better, and while the shockwave scene still doesn't pack as much punch as in the theater, it too was beefier than the on the HD-DVD. I wonder if the frequency is just too low for most subs to resolve. If that's the case, I think they should have remixed that scene since the rest of the movie has such a constant low druming of low frequency goodness. Image quality seems to be the same, but I'm going off of memory as I'm too lazy to switch back and forth to do a side-by-side comparison. Definitely both are noticably better than the HDHBO version which is artifact city.

I wouldn't say Ozzy is alive... more like he's "not dead". -

heh, actually, I would buy a new system, but we're in the middle of buying a new house. I look at a new rig and all I see is a new stainless steel french door refrigerator. -

Well, I can only hope in 25 years, we'll get a TDK SE where Two Face doesn't die.

I think that microwave generator was a directed beam, standing behind or to the side was probably safe, since it was designed as weapon to begin with.

With the transformers disc, isn't the wait time because it's downloading web content? I know the HD-DVD version took a while to load first time I watched it because it was downloading new content.

I see you bought the intel/ms kool-aid . Software slow and buggy? Just buy a better machine! -
The disc that takes the longest for me is Cars, and I think it's between 5~10 seconds. It's not as fast as HD-DVD but not as slow as I've seen on stand alone players. The upscaling is decent, it's not spectacular but it also doesn't suck.

Well, ultimately the real problem is over population and rising global standards of living. Western countries had it so good for so long and now we're freaking out over the idea that the rest of the world wants to live like we do.

Yeah, I can see that for some people having a relatively feature poor browser won't work for them. But I'm just liking how small and fast it is. One nice thing is that like IE 8, the tabs open their own process, so if one crashes, it doesn't drag down the entire program. Hasn't crashed on me yet though. And yeah, I know about Chrome's user agreement... it's the same as all their other stuff, google says they own the right to your soul, forever and ever. -
Wow, nice collection Scream! As usual, I'm impressed by the width and breadth of what you collect! I particularly like that top shelf with all the Primes, that Voltron does look pretty badass standing there.

I doubt it. PS3 has been selling well and Sony still isn't turning a profit on the hardware so I doubt there will be a price drop anytime soon.

firefox notably slows down my system... and IE 7 is just a buggy POS, I'm really liking chrome. Fast and stable so far. True some of the usability isn't there yet, but it's very impressive for a beta. -

Anyone else trying out Google's Chrome browser? Seems noticeably faster than IE on my system. -
