  1. Don't forget they also give you cancer, hide socks and track in mud after you vacuum
  2. HAHA.. you're going to blame Samsung and LG for the decline of the big japanese electronics zaibatsus? get real, samsung and LG invested heavily into the panel market and they won big while Sony played it safe and kept pushing CRTs long after the market left that technology. Sony shot themselves in the foot by not investing back into R&D and banking on their name just like the American CE industry before them. Samsung and LG are no more to blame for the decline of Sony than Nintendo is to blame for the decline of Atari. If you really want to look at people who don't "play fair" then look no further than vizio who buy OEM parts and rebadge it, reaping the benefit of all the R&D that companies like samsung, panasonic and sony pour into the industry while contributing nothing. They epitomize the race to the bottom mentality. As for your reasoning that LG makes crap products today because they made crap in the 80's... again, hilarious. "Made in Japan" used to be synonymous with cheap crap back in the 70's, much like "made in China" is today. Times change and companies, like nations, rise and fall.
  3. Sure... but does your car still fit in the garage, that's the question.
  4. that's going to look sweet on the imax
  5. you forgot to mention your 1/2000, 1/3000 count.
  6. that 1/100 vf-0 was an abomination parts-former like the 1/100 vf-25. But if bandai can make the vf-1 hi-metal as good as it is, then a hi-metal (or 1/100 yammie) vf-0 should be excellent, especially when you consider it would be as big as the 1/60 vf-1. That's plenty of real estate to work with.
  7. I hope the trailer is a good indication of how much screen time Channing Tatum will won't be getting in the sequel.
  8. just loosen the two visible screws on the ankles, carefully pop out the ball joints. clean and re-attach the plastic halves of the ball joints. Apply nail polish to parts. The tricky part is getting it back together, make sure the ankle joints are fully extended. I used tweezers for this, but whatever works for you, use the tweezers to hold the metal portion of the ball socket in place by holding onto the post of the ball joint, bracing them up against the metal half of the ball. Use the tweezers (or whatever) to make sure the ankle joint doesn't collapse and carefully pop the ankle back into place. Replace the screws to the ankles, making sure not to over tighten. it's pretty easy to do.
  9. yup, mine is safe and sound!
  10. your momma has white stripes
  11. I think in terms of depth of leg bend, the vf-0 still rules. That leg will nearly bend in half. Too bad it'll also crumble and fall apart on you.
  12. yeah... I just had one of my "replacement" arms fall apart at the elbow. POS
  13. yeah, I'm interested to find out what happened to him since he dies kind of young. I hope they also follow up whatever happened to Prince Zuko's mom.
  14. Korra isn't Aang's descendant, just the next incarnation of the Avatar. One of Aang's kids will be in the show as Korra's airbending master.
  15. you don't need to take the whole foot apart to get the ankle joint free, if you just loosen the exposed screws, you can pop the joint out. Getting it back in is the tricky part. You need to use something to hold the ankle joint in place while you pop the foot back on.
  16. I'm sure they'll put a note to that effect on the cruise missile they're going to send.
  17. man, it looks great all stickered up. Here's hoping that Yamato starts tampo printing future releases... what was the reasoning for not tampo printing again?
  18. Nope, they're the same as the vf-19's ball joints. Metal post, metal half hemisphere, plastic half hemisphere pegs on top to complete the "ball". Plastic inserts in the socket for friction. edit: well, the vf-19 doesn't have the plastic inserts in the sockets.
  19. Well, I found out why one of my knee joints was so loose The screw was busted inside the joint so there's no tension on the ratchet. I emailed HLJ and I hope they can help me out. The thing is covered in screw caps and I won't be able to fix it without mutilating it.
  20. I dunno, The Departed and A Bug's Life were both good.
  21. It's going to be pretty hard for someone to accidentally break that bar.. it's a 1/8" thick bar, diecast (zamack 3) has a shear strength of 31000psi, so unless that part is subject to nearly 4000lbs of pressure, it should hold up just fine. What were you doing when it broke? That bar is a single piece of metal that runs through the crotch plate and connects both legs. If you were holding down the one leg, and pulled up on the other leg as hard as you could, I could see it happening, maybe... but you'd have to be REALLY forcing it and I'm sorry, that's user error. If you were following directions and it just broke? That's most likely an issue with the bar that was introduced during the casting phase and there's nothing anyone can do about it.
  22. 22 has the micro missile launchers on the back, those black diamond shaped ports. 27 has the on the engine nacelles on the wing. The 25 doesn't but alto usually keeps the leg portion of the FAST pack which does have them
  23. meh, honestly, I'm perfectly fine with the ankle articulation. It's the knee ratchets on my kai that are too loose for GERWALK mode. Gonna have to see what I can do to tighten them up. Hopefully the screws are just loose and it doesn't involve me sourcing stronger springs.
  24. don't use a sharpie, use a gundam marker. Sharpie on plastic isn't black, it's a deep purple color.
  25. I dunno, Gundam took transforming suits, a songstress female lead, upgrading suits via add on armor and most recently, a main character that saves humanity by traveling with an all powerful alien entity to parts unknown... Damnit Gundam, stop ripping off Macross!
