    because PS3 cost too much as it is, Sony is losing money off of each one sold, adding an extra 200 dollars to them to fit them with the latest, high capacity drive would break the bank and most people wouldn't ever care.

    The spamming didn't bother me, but the spawned accounts and the trolling with those accounts, those not so cool. Anyways, I hope it's not a permanent ban.

    The only difference, imo, is that the DX has the arms tucked away while transformers usually just hang the arms off the/under the wing. The lack of sleekness, the giant hinges, the legs just hanging there not blended into the fuselage at all... it's all just cheap half assed work.

    really? Uhm, the usual suspects, courage under fire (blegh) an episode of star trek: TNG and x-files... and that's just off the top of my head. The same story viewed through multiple conflicting points of view is a pretty common concept now.

    Ah, if only this retcon were true. No, unfortunately we have had brand new spanking members who come here and within the first day are droning on and on about bandai this, perfect grade that. Yes.. and this explains the vf-11 thread where people are already saying "deal breaker" over a toy they've never seen... because we're all yamato sheep. And no, fighter mode DOES look like a transformer, the legs are just hanging there off the the body, they didn't even attempt to steamline it and with giant hinges, all screams of a cheap and rushed effort.

    Also, years of listening to bandai fanboys talking about how great it would be if bandai got the macross license back, how we'd be blown away with "perfect grade technology", how bandai would make yamato look like a bunch of clowns, how we're all sheep for buying yamatos, how bandai would make a valk look perfect in all modes and be sturdy.

    maybe it's because fighter mode looks ass ugly as well. If you're going to make one mode look like 20 dollar transformer, then the bot mode should look kick ass. Unfortunately, it only looks like ass. This isn't about yamato annihilating, this is about the DX sucking.

    Well, maybe they've been too busy recycling the concept to really sit down and just remake it outright.

    But both the D-stance and both versions of the 1/72 have fat undercarriages in order to hide the legs. Not to mention ALL the other problems the d-stance has.

    yes, yes, we've been hearing this argument since the very first test shots came out and yet the design and proportions have not changed at all except for hiding the canopy hinge.

    non articulated hands from bandai would be just sad. One of the best things they got going is how awesome the hands on their gundam kits are.

    Yeah, I really liked tonights episode. I think the writers and actors are really finding a good groove.

    considering there haven't been any significant design changes since the very first resin mock ups, I think it's safe to abandon hope that Bandai is going make any real changes.

    I'm actually more bothered by how high the head sits... it's just clearly not right. It doesn't really stand out on the squatter heads like the 1a and 1j, but on the 1s, it's really noticeable, imo.

    I've had 3 pairs of arms snap off and I still prefer fragile to fugly. At the end of the day, you can fix a broken arm (even if it ends up costing 15 dollars an arm plus shipping) but you can't fix ugly. Anyways, I'd rather have a serving of crow along with some shiny and beautiful VF-25's... so I'll still hope that Shin is right and Bandai will pull off a zero hour miracle.

    pass, looks horrible. Looks like a freaking transformer given how ill fitting and boxy fighter mode looks and battroid mode still has every single flaw from the very first resin shots. Hopefully yamato gets this license in the near future.

    I thought it was meh. I rented it for my 2 1/2 yr old son who loves all things cars and while he enjoyed the movie immensely (it's his new favorite movie), I had a hard time sitting through it. Visuals are great, transfer is demo quality... story is horrible and the acting is so uneven. If you're gonna cast actors like Susan Sarandon, it helps if the other actors can hold their own... it also helps if you give an actress of her talent something more to do that make sandwiches. And I can't believe this disc didn't get HD audio track. A throw away "game" DVD and a digital copy but no HD audio? This would have been a great demo disc but for that feature. Maybe this is a throw back from when WB did HD-DVDs... or maybe they plan on double or triple dipping on this title like they're doing with Superman Returns.
