  1. Ah, posability looks great but I'm bummed about the spare tampo markings
  2. the overhead LED lights adds so much to an already impressive display. I've been boxing up my collection in preparation of our move... I probably won't see them again for 9 months... so I'll be living vicariously through these pictures. Keep them coming!
  3. I think there's terminators from different futures with differing goals and I think garbagenator is a future skynet who's trying to make it's own future the future.
  4. yeah, wipeout HD is kicking my ass. I'm still racing with the AI on novice.
  5. liked tonight's episode. Thought Summer did a great job in playing alyson and cameron/alyso.
  6. Yup, that' the *real* reason why human casualties were so high during Space War I
  7. I disagree, given Lucas' character, naming it the Judah system makes sense. Judah stood apart from israel, survived the destruction of israel and is now considered the tribe of origin for most living Jews. Lucas obviously thinks that technology is the way to go so calling his unleashed AI the Judah system is probably a nod to the idea that AI is the future.
  8. Blade Runner 2??? http://www.cinematical.com/2008/09/29/ack-...blade-runner-2/

Right you are! And how can i forget the metal slider/locks in the wings and the metal hinge pins. There's a few other places where I think they should have used metal, like in the shoulder/wing area. so many little plastic pieces taking so much stress.
  10. I'll get the blu-ray tomorrow, if it's available.
  11. M7 was more consistent than MF, but it was consistently mediocre while MF had some amazing episodes and some stinkers. Never reached the highs of SDFM or the lows of SDFM's animation either.
  12. Well, I hope you're right. Those rear castor wheels just smack of a temp fix. I think/hope the rear gears will end up being twist outs like the yf-21. With the fold out side panels and the detailed ankle mechanism, space has to be a premium in the leg wells... twist out gears could be just the thing in terms of real estate. I don't have any hope that there will be any changes to the proportions though. The body has the same proportions as the very first set of preview pics. If they were going to change something, they would have done it by now. Maybe they'll pull a Yamato and just pull the whole thing and come back later with a brand new design.
  13. the last few pics are not rapid prototypes. Look at the detailing, the panel lining, the smoothness of the plastic, those came out of shiny molds.
  14. Well maybe Bandai will give us rub-ons, just for you
  15. Here's what I did, once I saw there was a crack, I purposefully stressed the joint SLIGHTLY to widen the the crack. I then took a bead of quick set epoxy applied it to the crack and tried to work it into the crack. You it's gotta be thick enough so it doesn't leach into the tunnel for the metal pin and lock the the hinge. I let it set over night and then I tested it out. It's still noticeably cracked, but the crack doesn't seem to move as I manipulate the arm. And I'm fairly sure there' a little bridge of epoxy holding the crack together. I think this works if you can catch the cracking early on. This should work if the problem is that the burr end of the pin was never meant to be inserted into the base of the hinge, the crack should relieve the stress on the plastic and the epoxy should hold it together.
  16. but that mock up obviously doesn't show any of the hinges or joints. Just compare the latest prototype's leg assembly compared to that resin mock up. The mock up is smooth while the prototype has very obvious joints and hinges and big gaps in the legs between the thigh/knee/and lower leg assemblies. And as been pointed out, the leg placement on the mock up is still too low and not well integrated with the rest of the body.
  17. I couldn't tell on mine till it broke, then I noticed that the broke side had the burr. And I have babied the shoulders as well. I always swung the shoulders out by pushing the base and the not the arm and always braced the base to limit movement while posing.
  18. Okay, now THAT pic is a NON TRANSFORMING MOCK UP, It's just one piece of carved resin. I would hope that it wouldn't have gaps.

no, there's a little "die cast" in the hips. Other than that there's no metal.
  20. Not only a great actor but by all accounts a great and generous human being.
  21. no, I had transformed mine 2x and hadn't touched it again. I only looked last night because I couldn't sleep. My pet theory is that they're forcing the wrong side of the pin through and it's breaking the hinge right out of the factory. The other left side has no signs of cracking or stressing and it's with the burr end up. On the plus side, it looks like the epoxy is working. I pulled on the arms today and the crack doesn't seem to be any worse. And I agree with the new thread idea. Make it like the old vf-0 shoulder destruct thread where we post pictures of the fractures and then hopefully Graham can forward the results on to the right people.
  22. Well, you can change my vote, my right shoulder has a crack in, same spot as everyone else's. The pin was also installed with the thick part down. I put a little bit of epoxy into the crack so we'll see if that holds the shoulder together.
  23. I loved Frontier but I don't think it's as good as SDFM. SDFM had much more adult themes and I thought handled death and the repercussions of war in a much more adult and mature manner. In terms of story, I thought SDFM sold the desperation of their situation much more effectively than Frontier. Maybe because the stakes in SDFM seemed so much higher. Even though in episode 25 of Frontier we see that the Vajra could have been a threat to all of humanity that wasn't really made clear in the show and I think some of the sense of threat and impending catastrophe really struggles as a result. And even though SDFM is overly long and stretched out, some of those episodes were really well used to develop characters and really flesh them out that... and that believability really made their relationships seem real.
  24. wrong, the 1/72 yf-19 had the worst gears.
  25. I thought the nickname for the vf-25 was the 'messiah' not' McGappy'.
