  1. that pic also shows no ankles...
  2. highdefdigest's review of BD firefly mentions the reviewer's suspicion of a future double dip with more features... guess I'm waiting.
  3. they've since sent out posters that detail what to take and what not to take. and they're to take back everything that can be resurfaced.
  4. NEVER buy used games from gamestop. I've read their policy on buying used games... basically, as long as there isn't a crack or a deep gouge in the disc they'll buy it back. Even if there's a scratch, their policy is to buy it and then resurface it.
  5. maybe at some point the neck and saucer section get shot off from the main body and then at the end of the movie they re-attach it in the right spot.
  6. that pic is the one that Entertainment Weekly is showing as the movie enterprise: http://www.cinematical.com/2008/11/11/chec...ise/1#c15516636
  7. I don't like how forward the deflector or the bulges around the hood of the nacelles. Oh well.
  8. and then, after they've released every canon paint job, they'll release a ver 2 that fixes almost everything we're complaining about.
  9. oh, well that's understandable. I wanna switch side! It looks awesome, I'm glad somebody finally fixed kawamori's suck anorexic design!
  10. what's to get excited about? It's the same few publicity shots we've been seeing for months.
  11. and the amount of time you need to invest learning which mainboard, which CPU, what RAM goes with what, oh wait now your HDD isn't compatible with SATA (don't laugh that happened to me), downloading drivers, figuring out driver conflicts... blegh. I used to do that crap for a living I don't want to do it at home. I want to plug my XXX console into the TV, stick in a disc and start playing.
  12. extended cut of transformers? hopefully it's more bot time.. maybe show what happened to barricade?
  13. games are one of the few sectors of the economy that doesn't seem to have been affected.
  14. I may be disappointed but I still think it looks very good, I'll definitely be picking up at least one, more if the armor pack is announced.
  15. now the wings are too short!
  16. I'm hoping the same thing, that the fighter mode is longer and not as stumpy looking. Like I've said in the DX thread, I mainly care for the fighter mode and the vf-11 has a very distinctive look to it and the picture we've seen really fails to capture that, imo. Battroid looks very good though... other than the head being a little small it looks amazingly close to the line art.
  17. well, graham says the fighter mode pic we've seen has been squashed so lets hold off on the gnashing of teeth for a while.
  18. well, at least the lower part looks like it pops out from under the nose cone, you can see a bit of orange peaking out in the pic. I'm thinking the cockpit is on a swivel or gimbal of some kind, press the canopy down and the lower part is geared to pop out and then the upper half is exposed to be pulled out.
  19. I think the 1/60 ver 2 was the turning point... but my guess is that for this design the battroid was favored due to the armor pack in order to not repeat the 1/48 oversized sumo suit. and the yf-21 fighter mode would just plain be broken if the necessary compromises were made to give it a more anime friendly battroid mode.
  20. Oh, I don't think any of the Revenge films need a remake but I would be interested in Charlize's take on the character and story.
  21. like I said numerous times in the DX thread...if Yamato had made the DX we would be in front of yamato HQs with torches and pitch forks ready to run them out of town.
  22. Spielberg and Will Smith are reportedly interested in reviving the Oldboy remake. I have to say those two are completely wrong for the project, imo. Actually, Oldboy is so damn near perfect I have a hard time accepting any idea of a remake at least so soon and at least when most Americans have never even been exposed to it. Let Charlize Theron do her Lady Vengeance remake, which I thought was good but a lesser film and much more approachable for mainstream audiences, and then use that to piggy back a theatrical re-release of the original Oldboy.
