    well that's why we're talking about the new design, the original is just so iconic, any new version of it has to do justice to the original.

    meh, I rent plenty of popcorn flicks that I'd never buy from netflix and the HD experience is worth an extra dollar a month. I rarely shuffle new releases to the top of my queue so by the time I get to them availability isn't an issue.

    just got an email from netflix saying they're dropping HD-DVD support altogether now as of dec. 15 2008. dang, that took a long time.

    the 'E'? the one from the last few movies? I love that design. One thing I'm kinda sorry about the reboot is that I was looking forward to the next evolution in the design. IMO, the ship designers have done a great job making new ships look like genuine evolutionary steps forward from previous generations.

    meh, I kind of like it. It's kind of all over the place design wise, but it has it's own charm.

    I don't mind the new bridge, I thought this was supposed to be a kind of reboot anyways? There's just no reason to fill the bridge with a bunch of knobs and levers.

    err... I was mocking the idea that it's no big deal for bandai to make the fast packs exclusives.

    It's one of the reasons I don't rent from gamefly anymore... the biggest reason being they never have new games in stock and the other reason is I've twice received discs covered in some sort of dried slime or goo. Just the foulest thing.

    no, I noticed it as well. and I agree with you on the neck placement. With the neck and the engine pylons all bunched up the design loses it's sleekness and sense of speed.

    blegh.. I'm waiting. Personally I think the extended versions are far superior to the theatrical cuts.... especially Two Towers.
